This is excellent, and one of the best parts is the use of (har har) Katie Couric’s comments to skewer Obama-lama-ding-dong for his sexist remarks, LOL

Good. An ad is quickly put out and can be modified if necessary but the main point is made. As I said yesterday, a thirty second ad opening with Palin's pitbull convention joke, cut to Obama clip with both pig and stink fish quote, fade to: "Change we can believe in?"

Now the Obama camp will be stupid enough to complain and extend their stupidity. When I saw the ad and the Katie Couric clip came up my first question was: Did Couric say this yesterday or is this an old clip where Couric was commenting on how the Obama campaign had treated Hillary in a sexist way. If the case is the latter (since I'm not 100% sure when this first broke yesterday and certainly had not seen any MSM coverage before Couric's newscast) then Obama will complain that the Couric quote is taken out of context and is from some other newscast. McCain & Co. will clarify by showing the Couric clip and explaining that it was indeed from an earlier newcast - from a story about Hillary complaining of Obama sexism.

Bottomline: good response, covers the ground needed, possibly left a little grenade for Obama (and a reminder for the PUMA's) to step on with the Couric clip.

I like that. It seems, at the risk of using an old expression that could be misinterpreted, showing the train wreck that is the Obama campaign is like shooting fish in a barrel.

To show you the blatant bias... The NY Daily News starts off the article “...H used the comment LoaP in reference to John McCain...”. Not even a qualifier, like “according to the H camp”... Yep, doing their heavy lifting

BTTT -- note that this implicitly generates more ire against the press for their biased, fawning (no pun intended) coverage of OBambi.

Cheers!

As a Republican I find it offensive that Republicans are making a big deal out of Obama’s comment. So what what Obama said. I saw how McCain falsely accused Romney during the primaries. McCain has a side to him that I’m not crazy about. He should leave this comment alone. I don’t think it is a bad comment at all. Are we going to now start acting like the disgusting liberals and play their backstabbing game? When you play dirty, don’t complain about your opponents. When you complain about a specific remark it makes you look like you are angry. You end up looking small to people who are not exactly your fans but are going to vote for your anyways. People who are sitting on the fence are going to end up being less impressed.

"...liptstick on a pig...."

This particular epithet, from someone who had a Muslim father and another Muslim step-father -- someone who went to an elementary school filled with Muslim children. And he chooses, "pig?"

I think people are making more into his lipstick comment than they should, and it could backfire on us, the way their grabbing at everything has done to them. We need to be careful. jmo

...or NOT!

Cheers!

The rapid response team ought to get on the “57 States” ,the “New Pennsylvania” and Joe Biden as the “Next President of the United States” (maybe Biden will be president of the other 7 )gaffes

That’s funny and it’ll hurt. It reminds people Obama has to get down and dirty just to remain politically viable!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Obama’s first instinct seems to be to,”get down and dirty”.
He couldn’t pick a worse way to react, he is exposing himself as anything but the image of a president that he started out trying to project. The empty suit is becoming transparent as well.

Sorry rodeo-mamma but I am inherently skeptical of anyone who begins a statement with:

“As a Republican”

or

“As a lifelong Republican”

etc....

Sorry, that remark makes you sound like a textbook liberal.

Telling the truth about a Democrat...is "hate speech".

All we did is remind people of the context of the "lipstick on a pig" remark.

No scurrilious insults were hurled at Obama.

Cheers!

What is just as disgusting to me is the crowd behind him laughing and clapping. That tells you the caliber of the Obama supporters.

I happened to be in the break room of a hospital laboratory yesterday and CNN was on. I NEVER watch CNN, but they were doing a pretty "fair and balanced" discussion of the role of religion in politics. Two women (one black and one white) were at the table next to me. The black one said, "What does religion have to do with politics?" The white woman said immediately that religion should not come into it at all, as long as no one was interfering with your right to worship as you choose.(Which party is guilty of doing just that?)

Of course, they were obvious Obama supporters. By some miracle, I was able to keep from saying anything to them, but I wanted to remind them of the truth about religion and politics. I wanted to point out how the black church has been a political tool for the Democrats for years, how Obama keeps trying to prove that he is a "good" Christian when he belonged to a radical church for 20 years, and that, like it or not, voters do not leave their Christianity outside the voting booth. If their faith is an important part of their lives, it plays a vital role in everything they do, including voting!

"Brian was playing DEVIL’S advocate.."

No he is not. He is doing what Obama counted on...believing that it wasn't a veiled jab at Sarah. I have a difficult time believing that a Harvard grad would let something so carefully spoken "just slip".

His "MY Muslim faith"...now that was a slip.

A political science major I would guess that this was timed to take the spotlight off the "My faith" statement.
