I’ve waited YEARS to post that!...........
He’s as good as dead if he actually hasn’t reached that state yet.
The communists in the inner circle are already jockeying for position, and getting rid of an incapacited predecessor is part of the political process in this kind of regime.
Who’s next in line? Might not be a bad idea to start looking at the post Jong-Il regime. A more robust, mentally-capable leader might do more than posture and threaten; they might actually provoke an incident in the DMZ. Or, they might clean house and modernize the country, bringing it at least as far into the light of capitalism as the parent country of China. And whoever the next prez is, gets to deal with that: How would each candidate deal with a revitalized Tiger N. Korea where labor can be had at near-slave wages? Alternatively, how would each candidate deal with a belligerent N. Korea that actually starts heading for the DMZ with an army? Interesting that this is coming up now, just as we head into the election.
I guess he is no longer “ronery”
Hopefully deader than a roadkill possum
So Wikipedia says that even in N. Korea, high officials don’t want to continue the Kim Dynasty. So, if Jong-Il really is out of the picture, do we then see a military junta, or do we see a new non-military president, and which way would they lean?
He’s working at a 7-11 in Ohio with Elvis and Osama Bin Laden.
