On Monday, Gov. David Paterson angered some state lawmakers by comparing them to vampires, calling them a bunch of "blood suckers." On Tuesday, he raised eyebrows again, and tempers, by accusing the John McCain campaign of veiled racism.
At the Crain's Business Forum this morning, Paterson drew attention to a phrase used numerous times by speakers at the Republican National Convention to describe Barack Obama's leadership experience: community organizer.
"I think the Republican Party is too smart to call Barack Obama 'black' in a sense that it would be a negative. But you can take something about his life, which I noticed they did at the Republican Convention a 'community organizer.' They kept saying it, they kept laughing," he said.
Paterson referred to McCain's running mate Sarah Palin who compared her work experience to Obama's.
"So I suppose a small town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except with real responsibilities," she said at the convention.
Paterson sees the repeated use of the words "community organizer" as Republican code for "black".
"I think where there are overtones is when there are uses of language that are designed to inhibit other people's progress with a subtle reference to their race," he said.

All of the wheels seem to be coming off of all the Dems' wagons at the same time.
I guess O'Bambi is a racist, and has been racistly calling himself "Black" by telling us all - proudly I seem to recall - that he was a "Community organizer"
BTW: "Community Organizer" is really (in Obama's case, at least) "code" for "Communist Organizer" - as he worked "organizing" for ACORN, an extreme and virulant anti-American commie bunch.
>>>Paterson sees the repeated use of the words “community organizer” as Republican code for “black”.
By the way: is it some secret out there in television land, that Barry Hussie O’Bambi is “Black”?
It seems to me that the whole POINT of O’Bambi’s camdidacy is that he is “Black” - What other point is there? Is it a secret.
Sorry... I hear the New York Times was going to blow the lid off of Obama’s race anyway, in an expose in their Sunday edition....
(Note to Gov. Peterson: I though that you Libs found the use of the term “Black” offensive, and had decreed that we may only use the term “African-American”? I guess this is another instance of your own racism....)
Then, “mayor” must be liberal for “stupid, anti-abortion, bible-thumpin’, gun toting, backwoods Alaska, trailer trash”, right? I mean as long as we’re walking in the path of paranoid schizophrenic delusional “code words”.
Just let them keep talking.
Their self-destruction is amusing . . . not unexpected at all.
here Gov. Patterson-Adolf Hitler was a community organizer. In fact his beer hall putsch was one of his crowning achievements as a community organizer-and Hitler wasn’t black. How’s that?
No. It's code for "marxist".
Exactly. “Community Organizer” is code for “Communist Rabble Rouser”. It is also, these days, code for “Vote Fraud Recruiter”.
There is nothing racist about calling somebody a community organizer. What Gov. Paterson is objecting to is the fact that a black man has been insulted. But the insult had nothing to do with race. I think the Governor’s point is that it should be unacceptable to insult a black man at all.
So, if I call Gov. Paterson a silly little twit who throws around incendiary accusations not the least bit based in reality, that is obviously a racial insult.
Consider the source.
NY kicked out one whoremonger and replaced him with another whoremonger. Not only the new gov but his wife was also whoring around.
These are not people to take seriously, but people to pity.
“Gov. David Paterson” is dem-code for “jackass”

I wanted to find out more about Community Organizers so I looked at Wikipedia and the first name of famous community organizers that jumped out at me was Josef Stalin. Makes one wonder.

And I thought “community organizer” just meant “dumbass socialist”. I guess the racist part went right over my head.
