For the last week we have hear the joke she repeated about a soccer mom and a pit bull. The punch line is “lipstick” No one is going to tell me that everyone but EVERYONE who listened to that line didn't walk away thinking he was talking about Sarah Palin.

I don't care what lame excuses the Dems come up with.

Exactly. It’s only a few days since Palin “owned” that metaphor. We’re all still hearing it in her stump speeches. We equate lipstick with the woman on the ticket he was talking about.
Whereas Hillary’s health care plan...at the time it was a common expression not particularly linkable to Hillary who is not especially feminine, who downplays that aspect of herself whenever possible, and who hadn’t used “lipstick” to relate people to herself in a recent and much-quoted speech.
