We've heard a bit about how Joe Biden commutes every day to and from his house. It looks like you and I pay for that commute.

Yes, and first class tickets on Amtrak are not cheap.
We were debating this point earlier.
Thank you for finding out who is really paying that $200.00+ train ticket every day.
His younger son, Hunter, is a lobbyist and the vice chairman of Amtrak’s board of directors

Yeah, but that’s not nearly as bad as 312 days of per diem in Alaska ... sarc/
I think this should be considered taxable income for him since there is no business reason for him to commute home every night. I wonder if he claims this income on his tax returns.
I think it's four times as much - wasn't Gov. Palin's per diem $54/day, and here's the Babbler with over $200/day.
4511 expenses in 1 year ?!?!?!?
this is unbelievable.
is this for real or some kind of smear campaign???
i’m serious - this can’t be real. the taxpayers are paying for $2000 hotel stays and $3000 airline tickets ?!?!?!?
Yep, and Biden has been doing this for years. All of a sudden the media is “looking into” Gov. Palin’s legitimate expenses.
Fortunately, Joe Biden does not go to work that often, saving us taxpayers a bundle of money!
I’d chip in to a fund to pay Biden 3x or 4x the amount just to stay home. Cheap at the price.
Man, I hope Sarah is taking notes, this is going to be a great debate!
I assumed that from the beginning. Per diem baby!!
