RALEIGH (WTVD) -- In an election for President of the United States in North Carolina Tuesday, September 09, Republican John McCain suddenly and breathtakingly surges to a 20-point win over Democrat Barack Obama, 58% to 38%, according to this latest exclusive SurveyUSA election poll conducted for ABC11-WTVD.
In 3 previous SurveyUSA NC tracking polls, McCain had led by 8, 5, and 4 points. Today: 20. McCain has gained ground in every demographic group. Among men, McCain led by 9 last month, 27 today. Among women, Obama led by 2 last month, trails by 12 today. McCain holds 9 of 10 Republican voters; Obama holds 3 of 4 Democratic voters; independents, who were split last month, break today crisply for McCain, where, in the blink of an eye, he is up by 25.

And don't forget how much of Pennsylvania is conservative once you get out of Philadelphia and Pittsburg
http://election08.cs.uiuc.edu shows McCain climbing in lots of key states. Earlier this week the prediction model showed Obama winning with 97% probability; today he’s down to 74%. The model takes state polling data and creates an electoral college prediction probability.

It’s electoral vote map doesn’t rely solely on the most recent polling data; it tries to take past election results and demographic trending into account.
Obama should be proud, however. He still has his 95% of the black vote, the faculty and student vote in Chapel Hill, and the handful of tree-huggers that roam around the piney woods.
Other than that, everyone else is voting for McCain-Palin.
Nice Site, but they still have NC as a Tossup.
Which is why he cleverly unveiled his 57 state strategy!
New Pennsylvania alone gives him double electoral points. (It's like a double word score in Scrabble.) But he's also expected to win handily in Germany and France, and the other extra states are leaning his way, as well.
Hillary is no one’s favorite in NC.
Sink some more money in NC state Obama. Heeheee....
538 is also a good site, but I have been told they are very left leaning. Is that true?
ROTFLOL
HUSSEIN is not exactly what you would call a Master Strategist.
His inexplicable pick of that retarded plagiarist over the one person that could actually have ensured him a win has to be the biggest blunder in American politics in the last 100 years.
Looks like these imbeciles won't be getting the keys to the White House.
Has Mike Nifong endorsed Obama, or the Durham Mayor who also tried to ruin the lives of the Duke Lacrosse players for Political gain?
I don’t think that it has much to do with the “Confederacy” idea, because prior to this, McCain was only seading by a diminishing 4 points. However, any lead for McCain is great. Next thing you now, McCain will be leading by a solid 7 points in Pennsylvania and 9 points in New Jersey :>).

I'm hopig Sarahcuda pushes both of them out of reach for the RATs.
last polling I saw from rasmussen was, Obama 47, Mccain 45. Pretty close considering Philadelphia and Pittsburgh make up about 75 % of the states population.
Here’s an interactive one you can use to test out different scenarios. Paint it red!

It’s left, but more in its commentary than in its analysis. Sometimes you have to question a few of their assumptions but it’s clearly not the leftist hack site that is electoral-vote.com. On that site, if some no-name polling outfit had an outlier poll showing John Kerry winning Florida in 2004 it was immediately embraced (and they were more than a little slow to show favorable Dubya polls).
folks: don’t forget the down ticket!
