Obama or McCain Better to Tame the Russian Bear?
Pajamas Media ^ | September 9, 2008 | Jeffrey Carter

The next president will not only have to confront the war on terror, but he will have a new/old battlefront in the East. The Russian bear has awoken. The new president will have to be able to persuade our old NATO allies to be the head of the spear on this new front. Which candidate is best for that job?

The sparse record of Obama is extremely scary in this dangerous time....

We definately better have McCain as President. As Dick Morris pointed out, McCain being in Washington a long time knows where the power is and he knows how to use it. I don’t think Obama is a horrible person, I just think he is an affirmative action candidate. That’s ok on a college campus, if parents are ok with spending their good money there, but it’s not ok being the leader of the Free World. Because Obama has been indoctrinated as a Affirmative Action recipient, he doesn’t get it how awful the commies are. Therefore, he’s dangerous in his own well meaning way.

Obama would be so out of his league that it wouldn’t even be funny. The bear would make a meal out of him.

I am amazed at how oblivious people are about national security these days.

I have no doubt that Russian and every other state and non-state actor out there would gladly kick around Obama, knowing that he would only demand “discussions” that end in big payoffs. There would be a run on every disputed border, resource and territory. The “Obama wars” would start early, and not let up.

The thing is that i’ve never been excited about McCain. What will get me into the voting booth is how utterly terrifying the idea of having Obama steering the ship through todays perilous waters.

A lesson can be learned from the election of 1960.

It has been proven that Richard M. Nixon actually won the Presidency, but due to vote fraud in Illinois and Texas, he was robbed of victory by the ‘Rats, and we ended up with JFK and LBJ as President and Vice President.

The relevance of this is that JFK was perceived by the Soviets as being inexperienced, not savvy at all, basically a rookie in a job way too big for him. THAT is why the Soviets attempted their ‘62 missile gambit in Cuba, they believed it possible that Kennedy might back down and the Soviets would have accomplished an overnight reversal of fortune so far as the ballistic missile advantage the U.S. enjoyed at the time.

Now if history had unfolded as it SHOULD have, Richard Nixon would have been sworn in as President in January ‘61, and it is highly likely that Khrushchev would never have attempted to put missiles in Cuba, because he had already been face to face with Nixon in their famous ‘kitchen debate’ when Nixon didn’t back down at all, he gave as good as he got, and Khrushchev knew Nixon was not to be trifled with, Nixon’s reputation as a Cold Warrior preceeded him and the Soviets respected that.

The lesson? The way our adversaries and enemies perceive the person sitting in the Oval Office goes a long way to determining what sort of behavior we can expect from them (our adversaries).

You can be certain that a President John Sydney McCain would be feared by our enemies, and a President Barack Hussein Obama would be a complete laughingstock.

Take that to the bank.

Done been deposited. I firmly believe that no matter who wins this time around, the muzzies are gonna try something again.

When and where, not sure. They're going to test the mettle of the next president. God help us if it's odummy.

What concerns me is that liberals do not think Russia a threat, do they?

I’m not sure the leftists think that there are any threats at all out there in the world. What they apparently see are nations that the U.S. has bullied and ignored and thus created frustration and anger that they take out on us and our allies in order to teach us a lesson. Their idea seems to be that all we have to do is listen to these people and give in to their reasonable demands and all will be well.

It is as if not one leftist has ever so much as watched the History Channel let alone cracked an actual history book.

Is this a rhetorical question?

Obambi couldn't tame a stuffed teddy bear!

He could bore the stuffing out of it though.

It’s time for McCain to dust off and update the old ‘bear in the woods’ commercial from Reagan’s 1984 campaign.

Even the idea that Obama might be weak would be to invite attack upon us , our allies, or interests in the world. McCain might even derail adventurism before it starts.
