True. The downside to a fresh face is that there are some issues that (s)/he will not have addressed adequately, due to lack of opportunity or lack of exposure; or maybe because (s)/he will be fresh enough to actually care about doing the business of his/her constituents rather than merely working on yet another re-election campaign.

Both of those issues are biggies, and while as Second in Command to McCain, she may adopt his positions, it is interesting to see her pre-VP stances, to better judge what she will do if she were to have to step in. It's too bad there isn't enough record there to ascertain her positions, if for no other reason than to satisfy intellectual curiosity.

ICBW, but perhaps illegal immigration is not so large a problem in Alaska as it is in other states. IOW, why waste time and energy while running a state on something that is not a problem in that state.
