John McCain's campaign acknowledged this weekend that Sarah Palin is unprepared to be vice president or president of the United States.
Of course, McCain's people said no such thing. But their actions told you all you needed to know.
McCain, Barack Obama and Joe Biden all subjected themselves to tough questioning on the regular Sunday news programs. Palin was the only no-show. And it's not just the Sunday interviews. She has not opened herself to any serious questioning since McCain picked her to be next in line for the presidency.

This after the Obamessiah spoke of his “muslim religion?” But EJ, buddy, I thought the straight-arrow, non-biased mainstream media was telling us all we needed to know about Sarah Palin!! You know...had her daughters baby (or something like that); religious nut; bans books; built the Bridge to Nowhere after all (it’s just invisible). How could her own answers to gotcha questions on Meet the Depressed tell us any more??!!
No way do I subject myself to listening to those weasels trying to make themselves look important while they spread the RATS talking points.
Along with them - I don't subscribe to any of their rag, so called 'news' papers or magazines.

Shhhhhhhh, don’t say anything, but if the media really wants to help Obama win, they are going to have to go back to their old playbook and cover his every move 24/7 with a multitude of reporters and cameras like they did on his trip to Europe. They need to recapture that rock star image that he is loosing. But thankfully instead they have been distracted by Governor Palin and are fully focused on looking for loose threads in her tapestry, digging for anything in her past or present they can use against her, and while they are looking away from Obama, his rock star image fades into nothingness quicker than Milli Vanilli.

Georgie Steph interrupted Obama to correct him and even finished Obama’s stuttering sentence for him. The liberal media will probably ask questions like, “When did you stop beating your kids?” and then interrupt her before she can answer.

Wow! Now, where are the cartoonists among us? I can't draw, but I can visualize Sarah gutting the democrat jackass hanging from a tree limb.
This is beyond idiotic. Palin, like any good running mate, needs to coordinate with the nominee, dot their I's and cross their T's as to strategy, consistent responses to certain subjects, etc. Dionne just want to put this dig out there, and in fact is parroting the Obama/Biden campaign, to try to muddy the waters but after the ABC interview is done and aired, you won't be able to NOT see Palin in one interview or another. She is a natural politician with a pleasant twist - blunt honesty.
Contrast that with Obama's pick of Biden. Biden was able to jump right in because Obama's message is such liberal hyperbole that in no way can be claimed to be "change" but simply more of the same - reaching for more extreme gov't intervention in all things political.
Reformers have to plan, think through etc. Political hacks like newbie Obama and old hatters like Biden simply illustrate the old P.J. O'Rourke line: "Socialists are communists one drink at a time."
It means nothing to me if Palin doesn’t go on those “other” “news” shows. I could care less and will actually applaud if she refuses to lend her credibility to idiots like Couric, et al.
There are only three people she needs to talk to, in my opinion, who speak to the majority of Americans- Bret Hume, Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. They have audiences that the rest will NEVER have.
