Hey! There's also a "Ginny Mae" that I think is still a GSE in the mortgage business. Why wasn't it part of this deal and how is it's role any different and who has it been contributing to???

Can anybody answer even some of these questions about "Ginny Mae?" (the "G" in "Ginny Mae" stands for government, or GovernMental)

Cal, I don’t know how this is going to turn out.

All day I have heard the talkers on the radio, talk of how wonderful it is and how awful it is.

It does bother me that it needed to be done.

I’ve noticed that Maurice Strong has vanished from the news. He was one of the main creators of the hedge funds run by Goldman Sachs. Google has even limited the searches on him with word association blocks.

This is historic and frightening

Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., reporting the biggest loss in its 158-year history

This will be the biggest example of why affiliates are so dangerous since the Dot Com bust. The parent company goes, all the agent businesses go too. I’ve never heard media explain that to people.

Google needs to rethink their game plan, politics is ruining the searches.

I do not know about him, and can imagine we will learn many names in the near future.

Jamie Gorlick was warning enough, of what is to come.

I would think this is part of the 1963 manifesto plan.

What better way is there to control people than with their money?

We are told to spend, spend and spend some more and if you want to save and stock up for the hard times that always come, then you are a nut.

If you dig into this mess, you will find things that you did not know was possible.

In 1929, if someone thought up a new name for a company, they quickly sold stock in it.

And the fools on the street bought it.

I see them buying useless stock today, using useless money they do not have with their credit cards.........it has to fall.

I have expected this and worse for a long time, it is 1929 all over, with new buzz words.

Faith Bremner, writing for Gannett stated that a “major part of Freddie Mac’s strategy... was to hold fundraising events for key lawmakers.” From 2000 to 2003 the corporation’s lobbyists hosted 70 fundraising dinners for 52 lawmakers and raised $1.7 million for House Financial Services Committee Chairman Mike Oxley (R-Ohio), other members of his committee and Republican leaders; $189,500 for Oxley alone. Freddie Mac maintains that its lobbyists personally sponsored the events and the company had nothing to do with them.

Wondering how many of the 70 fundraising dinners were for Democrats and how much was raised for them? Apparently, the "journalistic" curiosity only extends to Republicans.
