According to the Asia Times Online, Obama has already lost the election, Michelle hated Hillary enough to cost the Senator the VP slot, plus other interesting insights regarding the Democrat's nominee for President.
The article not only predicts an Obama loss come November 4th but lays out the reasons why. The article also claims Democrat "insiders" came to the grim conclusion that the Obama campaign was already doomed by the time Obama gave his acceptance speech in front of star-spangled styrofoam columns at Invesco Field in Denver.
The article [link] cites the reasons why the mood of Democrat "party professionals" and campaign staffers the evening of Obama's speech could be compared to the movie, The Night of the Living Dead juxtaposed against The Ten Commandments atmosphere of the adoring legions of Obama fans:
* How Michelle Obama was behind the "real" reason" Obama didn't choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
* How Obama ignored the "rising stars" within his own party to chose Joe Biden, a "colorless, unpopular, tangle-tongued Washington perennial" who received only 3% of the popular vote in the Democrat primary in his own state of Delaware and thus signaled Obama's own "weakness".
* How Obama is "long on brains and short on guts".
* Why Obama is "the political equivalent of a sociopath".
* Why Obama "will destroy himself before he destroys the country".
* How Michelle's "anger" will ultimately lose the election for Obama.

There have been other "cracks" in the carefully crafted facade of Obama. DBKP recently highlighted Obama's lack of any executive experience for the job of President and Commander-in- Chief.

That is possible, but I think Barrack arrogance also played against putting Hillary on the ticket.

He’s obviously short on both. Someone with a brain would never have picked Biden or set himself up to ridicule.

Barack Obama is universally hailed as as great speaker. He is not.
I know great speakers. He is not particularly gifted.
He can deliver quasi memorized stump speeches. By deliver, I mean in a basically fluid manner but not exceptionally well.
To be a strong speaker, there should be some indication of extemporaneous speaking abilities. Barack Obama shows little or no indication of this important ability. He often seems confused and stammered by the emergence of such communication events. These events are typical in the life of a politician.
His planners have been shrewd in minimizing his contact to hostile questioning that brings this problem to light, but it still did not make him a great performer.
His 2004 speech was better than his acceptance speech. His acceptance speech was angry. Other speakers such as John Lewis gave better speeches on the same topic Obama tried to explore the same day.
I wish people would stop being so conciliatory.
Many people here stated that MO’s dislike for Hillary kept her off the ticket. I’m not sure about that, though.

could help with white blue collar men, being from Scranton and all.

You have hit the nail more accurately: he is good when in closely-scripted scenarios.
As others here have commented (and which any search of YouTube will confirm) once he departs from the script, the wheels turn a little slower and the “uhhs” start to pile up.

Zerobama can’t win; he never could have. His sycophantic “base” of support are the demographics least likely to vote, youth and blacks.
His “chances” so far have all been manufactured media hype; his failure to state real objectives and his empty rhetoric have already been seen through by the citizenry.
10-15% of his OWN PARTY are people that publicly state “I’ll never vote for a black man” and even w/o McCain’s pick of Palin to energize the base, NOBODY on the right really wanted to see an inexperienced Chicago Machine pol with strong Marxist/Muslim leanings in the White House.
All the “polls” we have seen so far are highly skewed media creations. When it all came down to it on Nov 4th, non-leftist DemonRats, Republicans, and sane independents would have pulled the lever for McCain as a vote against Obama anyway.

You could be right about #2, but I believe Bayh was ready (from several published reports), if the call came, as was Kaine.
I think you’re right on #3. BHO couldn’t have been all that hot on Hillary either. But then, Kennedy and Johnson couldn’t stand each other, but set it aside for a chance to win.

we should start making the public aware of his "uhs" right now so that when the debates roll around, they cant help but notice how often he "uhhs" his way through the simplest statements. that would ensure that fewer undecided voters are able to take him seriously.
