GOP does not mean conservatism today.

Does anyone remember ole Trent Lott? What a Republican he was----not! I can remember when the vote was coming up in the Senate after the House had voted to impeach the bent one----how nervous we were about what Lott would do, and sadly, we were right to be nervous as it turned out.

Republicans very often do the wrong thing, too........

Agreed.

Small government.

Low taxes.

Right to bear arms.

Family values.

Strong national defense.

Energy independence.

Care for those truly in need.

The modern GOP stands for little of that, but McCain-Palin are Reaganesque in their support of CONSERVATISM.

I am so tired of this “maverick” word.

Yes. They are close to over-doing that.

It says he reformed Washington....that is too general and past tense. Doesn’t fit with the overall message.

Roger that.

This is the first McCain ad that I’ve watched 8 times in a row. It has a superhero vibe to it with an awesome score.

McCain is like a cyborg beast who suddenly kicks into high gear at the last minute and destroys the arugula-eating idiot.

So, what then are the reforms that McCain has wrought on Washington?

If McCain was so great in wroughting reforms on Washington, why is one of his debate and campaign lines "Washington is broken"?

Either he reformed it or it is broken. Which is which?

True, but I can guarantee you that Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Reid’s positions don’t just leave a bad taste in your mouth, they are down right inedible, and even poisonous.

It’s easy for a senator to cross the aisle, but I doubt Pelosi/Reid are going to agree to anything that will give a President McCain a legislative victory. You could make the argument (and I do) that we are safer and better off to have McCain in the WH than the Senate.

No it shows that MAYBE somebody realizes how dysfunctional and disoriented the fat cat Republicans have become.

I like the “Real Change” at the end.

The only thing 0bama has ever changed are his policy positions.

Either he reformed it or it is broken.

Only on planet Binar.

Here on earth, the two propositions are not mutually exclusive. It is a question of how much reform has been wrought and how much of Washington is still broken.

Again, though, in November you have three choices: "Obama," "McCain," and "Present."

Of course, only the first two can be elected President. Option three is a ticket to petty oblivion.

Sad but I think they are trying to show what America knows, both parties have acted irresponsibly and need to change. Better this than the DNC chant “more Bush”. I like Bush but much he did was too influenced by liberal appeasement.

The Republicans have not defended the party for the last eight years. The most active Republicans joined the Democrats rather than fight them when it came to spending. John McCain was right, the people in Washington lost their vision as to why they were there.

“permanent political class”

THERE is something to attack.

Biden is only there.

Obama is part of the permanent political class system.

You sidestep answering the question.

I assume that is because you don’t have a ready talkingpoints response.

I pointed out the flaw in the question.

It will be Commander-in-Chief McCain or Commander-in-Chief Obama. Either you can help decide, or you can vote “present.”

Choose wisely.

Ronald Reagan is back, but now he’s a hottie.

I don't know, my mom used to think Reagan was pretty good looking LOL

This very effective ad is probably running in States where the GOP brand (Bush) is not very popular, States such as MI, WI, NM, NH, PA, NJ and OH. It’s what I would call a root canal ad, but it appears to be exactly what is needed in those battleground States.
