Gallup: McCain 54%, Obama 44%?
PollingReport.com ^

http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08gen.htm

This is a site that accumulates polling results. They are showing a Gallup poll of likely voter, covering a time period of 9/5-7. It shows McCain with a 10 point lead. 54% vs 44%.

Can anyone verify this? Have they gotten a hold of the poll early and updated their site before they were supposed to?

The only thing I can find on USA-Today is a Gallup poll of registered voters that shows McCain 50% and Obama 44%.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-09-07-poll_N.htm

It doesn't say anything about likely voters.

Can anyone confirm this site's data. I'm trying not to get too excited, but 10 points! It's hard not to.

I found it buried at the bottom of the USA-Today article.

“In the new poll, taken Friday through Sunday, McCain leads Obama by 54%-44% among those seen as most likely to vote. The survey of 1,022 adults, including 959 registered voters, has a margin of error of +/— 3 points for both samples.”

If the trend continues on up to election day and McCain / Palin win on the 4th, those of us in large urban areas will probably need to have our weapons and ammo in good shape.

Great News!! The Palin Effect, I’m sure.

We have to do all we can to talk up how great McCain/Palin will be for the nation and the economy. The Leftist press keeps repeating their lies about increases in unemployment and that we are in a recession (which we are Not).

We must point out that these are liberal lies to all our friends and relatives and that our economy is doing just fine. And even if they think it isn’t, McCain and Palin are the ones who can fix it.

Sad thing is this will set back black politicians for many more years to come. Any capable democrat should have been able to whip any Republican this year, but the libs of their party put up a once-muslim, can’t speak without a script, can’t think for himself black man.

If they had put up a more capable person they would have won. In 4 years they will be too scared to nominate another black man/woman because they’ll just blame their loss on racism and not see how bad their nominee was.

Barack is setting back black people at least 20 years. It truly is sad.

yeah it irritates me when they say there will be race riots if Obama loses...talk about scare tactics, vote for Obama or it will be your fault.

Here’s a sign of the times - right now AOL search shows the hot searches as Hurricane Ike, Jillian Grace, Sarah Palin, Cindy McCain, and John McCain. Nary an Obama in sight in that list!

I believe it is possible for this type of bounce, but I would not have expected it so soon. I reserve excitement for the battle ground state poll numbers.

Gives context to the handing of Gov Palin now by McCain's crew. McCain now apparently has the upper hand and is in a position to set the terms of the discussion.

This will really torque the MSM. Obamb and the MSM are going to get a lot uglier, but this time will be seen for what it is.

I suppose we shouldn’t get overconfident, but between the 10 point poll jump, those a$$ clowns Olberman and Matthews getting yanked out of the anchor chair at MSNBC - now would be a perfect time for a major blowup in the BHO campaign - like a top advisor quitting or some juicy news leaking out.

Trifecta!
