What I Love Most About Palin: She's Exposing the Far Left For What It Is

Posted on 09/07/2008 6:45:18 PM PDT by quesney

Thanks to Governor Sarah Palin, the far left has been exposed over the past week, in its treatment of the Alaska Governor as downright sexist, fraudulent, hypocritical, racist (or rather, reverse-racist), crude, borderline authoritarian, intolerant, illogical, perverse, unfair, elitist, unpatriotic, undemocratic and just plain old nasty. Oh, and un-American. It turns out many liberals aren't very liberal at all -- not by the strict definition.

How DARE an "ordinary" woman like Sarah Palin with a traditional Midwestern upbringing and a big traditional family even THINK about aspiring to the second highest office in the land.

She is white trash. She is the peasantry. Doesn't she know her place? Her kind of people are good enough to make our food, work in our factories and supply our military with fresh bodies for the next war. But run for the highest office?

That is the attitude on clear display today and many people, even in the Democratic Party itself, are apalled.

For this alone, Palin, in addition to her other many *real* achievements, has done this country a great service.

She MUST be elected if only to restore the ideal that this is still a democratic republic where EVERY American can aspire to high office, based on merit, and that this can again be a government by the people, OF the people and for the people. Not permanent misgovernment by some pompous oligarchy of lawyers and other incompetents who know nothing about what made this country great in the first place.

Who the hell do Oprah (who runs nothing more than media empire), the mainstream news media starting with the New York Times (which is financially imploding and can't keep its stock price afloat), "experienced" policymakers in Washington (who helped to get us into the multiple disasters on multiple fronts we're in today) think they are?

Who are they to diminish Palin? The nerve!

Excellent point. That’s exactly the kind of thing we need to identify and push for repeal.

KILL THE FEDERAL FUNDING AND THE LEFT DIES !!

Does she walk on water too?

I think she walks over it.

Thanks! I was looking for a response to one of the YouTube idiots about how Palin’s image was “carefully crafted.”

McCain is not a culture warrior, he wants too much to be liked by ordinary folks of all sides. But he mentioned in his acceptance speech the issue to fight this on - school choice. He is perfectly capable of getting incensed at the moral outrage of standing between a child and a decent education. And families will not lightly give them kids *back* to stalinist indoctrination, if they see what their kids can learn and become with a real, objective education. That is the only way in that will work after this win. Forget about some broader cultural assault on any form of left funding. But financial corruption that wrecks opportunity? That you can get McCain angry about, and when he is angry is a dangerous man.
