MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channels coverage of the election.
That experiment appears to be over.
After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.
The change which comes in the home stretch of the long election cycle is a direct result of tensions associated with the channels perceived shift to the political left.
The most disappointing shift is to see the partisan attitude move from prime time into whats supposed to be straight news programming, said Davidson Goldin, formerly the editorial director of MSNBC and a co-founder of the reputation management firm DolceGoldin.

I believe they have gone up 10. McCain was down by 7 and is now up 3. 10 point spread. Just as good. ;)
“I had to wake up my First Wife at 10 last night to tell her this. I hope PMSNBC has vaccinated everyone against rabies that comes in contact with these rabid snakes...”
I would have a trip to the ER if I woke up my first, middle and last wife to tell her something like this.
Years ago, during the Clintoon all most impeachment, she said that Chrissy was very light in his loafers. Viewing Chrissy became a nono in our household at that time.

This isn't a change, merely some PR to drum up viewers for what will be partisan axe-grinding, by people who have thrills running up their legs.
I guess that tingle up your leg turned to be a chill on your spine.. I mean spineless spine.. Crissy.
Sure. Its just one stone-cold lefty scumbag instead of two.
Keith Obamaman is today’s Worst Person In the World!
If even the ultra-liberal bigshots at MSNBC recognize what walking talking disasters Matthews and Olbermann are, then they (M and O) have to be the biggest pair of jackasses ever to darken a tv screen.
I have to admit it is sort of fun to watch the nuts in meltdown mode. First their hero Obama is getting drubbed in the polls, and now their cable heroes have been ousted. It's always an interesting lab experiment to observe the lunatics when their straightjackets are off and the gags are out of their mouths. Maybe the most amazing thing to hear from these geniuses is that Big Media is conservative. I guess they feel that way because the networks have not yet endorsed a full-fledged communist takeover of the U.S.
Worst Person in the World: Keith Olbermann (dig those eyebrows though).
(no, please don't...)
I hate this arrogant bast*rd, and glad he's been demoted.
LOL, what a shell game; Gregory is as loony-left as Olbermann and Matthews.
You mean Rachel Madnow?
Tom Brokaw’s from a small town in South Dakota. He may be a lib but South Dakotan’s don’t suffer fools gladly, and especially now that Tim Russert’s gone.
Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.
So what's the difference? They didn't get fired, they just got a slap on the hand? Oh well, it's still funny.

KO is interviewing Obama again tonight or tomorrow. I can just imagine the soft ball questions he’ll get...
I think i’m going to start giving out christmas gifts today. Oh what joy and good cheer I’m filled with.
