Barack Obama received many ovations during his acceptance speech at the Democratic convention in Denver. Perhaps the most enthusiastic applause from the crowd of 84,000 came after the senator from Illinois declared: "And for the sake of our economy, our security and the future of our planet, I will set a clear goal as president: In 10 years, we will finally end our dependence on oil from the Middle East."
Excuse us for sitting on our hands, but Obama's claims about energy just don't add up. Of course, that means he is no different from any other Washington politico. But we retain a quaint notion that reality should at least be in the same room during discussions of the world's single most important commodity. And embracing energy reality requires looking closely at the numbers.

The current Governor of Massachusetts was asked on a radio show what he thought of Palin’s speech. He began by saying he didn’t hear much of it because it was his “bed time.” So appropriate. He then said she sounded “sarcastic” and bitter. He followed it up by saying “Obama offers “CHANGE!’” These nitwits actually use bumper sticker slogans in promoting their candidate. “Change!” I laughed. I was waiting for “Hope!” but that wasn’t said.
What will happen to the more than 250,000,000 vehicles on the road in the good old USA?

Obamas plan is simple—Gas Rationing. High Taxes on cars and trucks, take people’s cars away and give them bikes to ride. Then use the money to put Natural Gas powered buses to carry the unwashed Peons to work. Naturally the Government people and the powerful will have cars. Using logic like this its simple.

Obama has no plan to end our dependence on foreign oil. His Saudi puppet masters will not allow it. That’s why he doesn’t want us pumping our own oil.
