But if Palin can pull some of the feminist vote, there’s nothing wrong with that...Palin got picked, I believe, because she was a good choice. If she draws some of the feminist vote from those who feel the dems dumped on them with Biden, all to the good...
any vote the GOP can get to drive a stake in the allegorical heart of Count Obama suits me
but folks who try to piggyback their feminist agenda on the baclk of Sarah do so at their peril and are dangerous to social conservatism.
He unabashed embrace of social conservatism is what I hold dear about her....not this notion by some here that she validates feminism.
Yep there a large number of reasons Palin was picked because:
1. energy is the issue of this campaign and she knows and has a track record on energy exploration,
2. she is a fresh face and Obama picked an long time Senator allowing an openning to steal the change/reform issue from the as you can hardly call a ticket of two US Senators an outsider ticket,
3. she did not run in the primaries and Obama by picking Biden left an openning for commericals using Bidens’s words against Obama if McCain did not pick someone like Romney who criticized him in the primaries,
4. her ability to energize the base,
5. her ability to unite the GOP,
6. she is a good campaigner and debator,
7. her ability to possibly attract some women voters based only on being a woman.
Some of these are interelated, but all of these points made her the best choice and thankfully McCain made it.
