I agree with you 100%. I’ve made several posts this afternoon saying that Obama’s claims of faith are not sincere, but rather, feints intended to gain him votes.

Cynically, I’d say he was trying to draw the fire of the right and then play the innocent victim. Let’s not fall for it!
