Was it just a slip up or a real admission?
Did you ever make such a slip? Could you? I don’t think I could.
I don’t consider him a Muslim now - but who is this guy? I don’t think he knows either. One thing I believe- he was a nominal Muslim while a child. Since he has lied about it for so long, there is little he can do now. He assumed that many (probably more than reality) of Americans would not vote for a one-time Muslim - he was right. It’s his name- even if he had changed it, it would haunt him. The bigger issue with him is his friendliness with radical people and ideas. If he had been a conservative guy who ditched all of his parents’ craziness years ago, he could have won. As it is, he picked and chose the worst of what his parents offered him: Knee jerk liberalism.
