It took him a month to come up with a “better” answer which is still a complete non-answer but makes him look marginally less like an idiot.

Obama disclosed that he had once considered serving in the military.

Does he mention this in either of his two memoirs? If not, McCain should turn this into an ad.

It’s pretty sad that a guy who wants to be President can’t remember what he “intended” to say until a month later.

Imagine, we are 3 weeks into world war 4 with Russia, and President Obama addresses the American People:

“You know, when I told Putin that last month, what I INTENDED to say was”.....

Zerobama requests a Mulligan. A do-over.

And then another.

This pattern is closely related to voting Present.

A coward cannot change his stripe. We cannot afford another coward in the White House. Recall that Clinton was incapable of making the decision to kill Osama bin Laden when we had him in our sights.

He CONSIDERED joining the military? Is that what he is going to list as his qualification to be CIC?

So, he made it sound like he didn’t join the military because there was no combat role for him to play. Suuure!!

He’s soooo patriotic and thinks military service is soooo noble that he had this to say in March:

“Senator Obama was trying to tamp down donor concerns over the impact of a drawn-out Democratic primary yesterday, but he ended up coining a new comparison for the increasingly bitter battle: the Bataan death march. “For those of you who are just weary of the primary, and feeling kind of ground down or that it’s like a Bataan death march, I just want everybody to know that the future is bright,” he told supporters at a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser in Midtown Manhattan yesterday.”

He compares the primary to something he cannot possibly comprehend!

The only answer on abortion that matters is his voting record which was for infanticide. End of discussion.

Sounds to me like he is even more likely to need a poll to be taken before answering a question than Bill Clinton was.

“When does life begin?” It’s a personal question about your beliefs - anyone can answer this. If you are firmly grounded in your faith, then it gets even easier.

What he is really means to say this time is “Since I didn’t know the uh proper uh theological answer, and uh I wasn’t able to get uh help from the audience the way they do on uh TV uh game shows, I said that I uh, uh did not know because I am just the uh president - I mean a presidential candidate, not someone who is being paid to make hard decisions yet. That is why it is uh above my uh pay grade.”

And I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honorable option. But keep in mind that I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren't engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it's not an option that I ever decided to pursue.”

Sounds like Hillary and her being turned down for the Marines. I guess the conclusion we are to draw from Obama's comments is that the only way he would join the military if there was a real shooting war going on. He really wanted some action and a peacetime military just didn't cut it. It is so easy to be courageous when you are Walter Mitty.

Of course he regrets the abortion answer.

He made the remark and out walked
Sarah and Trig, Bristol and child.

Oh, and have I mentioned my teenage daughter gets blue in the face when she hears that comment of his.

Obama disclosed that he had once considered serving in the military.

“You know, I actually did,” Obama said. “I had to sign up for Selective Service when I graduated from high school.

OK, he's answered that question. But then again, we haven't gotten his authentic birth certificate. I'm holding my fire.

And I was growing up in Hawaii. And I have friends whose parents were in the military. There are a lot of Army, military bases there.

“And I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honorable option. But keep in mind that I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren't engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it's not an option that I ever decided to pursue.”

OK, lemme get this straight -- you considered going into the military, but decided not to BECAUSE the Vietnam War was OVER?

It's amazing how Obama can't answer any questions without raising a bunch more.

Now, Obama tells ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an interview taped for “This Week”: “What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into … It's a pretty tough question. And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions.”

Doesn't say a darn tootin' thing different here. He again can't even give a straight answer by stopping midstream and then falling on "...it's a tough quwestion." The real question that Obama should have been asked was, "When do you believe a (fetus) feels physical pain?" or even "When do you believe a fetus has it's first thoughts/dreams? "Like all pro-choicers he can't answer that question because it leads to the tortuous defense of aborting a growing human being. Legally/legislatively they always have to claim there is no pain up until the birth of a child. Sickening.
