She's unqualified. Anti woman. A "right-wing man in a skirt and fetching up-do." Feminists went apoplectic when Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was chosen as Senator John McCain's running mate. The same feminists who keep saying we must have more women in politics suddenly changed their minds. We need more women--just not that kind of woman. How did we manage to get here? Different waves of feminism have rolled in since the suffragettes fought for the right to vote. Today, few are sure what feminism is. If all it means is the right of women to self-determination and to equal opportunity then virtually no one stands against it. That battle has already been won. North American feminists should be working to extend the fundamental freedoms they enjoy to parts of the globe where such freedoms are absent. But instead, they pitch a package of partisan political beliefs at home. Their palette is left-wing and non-negotiable -- especially the part about unrestricted access to, and, ideally, public funding for, abortion. But the "choice" label is not something every woman wants. In this very polarized context, it's not surprising that only the very strongest of conservative and pro-life female politicians would rise to the top. It takes a lot of guts not only to stand up to the kind of sisterly abuse described above, but also to compete effectively in a traditionally male-dominated field. To those untainted by ideology, Sarah Palin is gritty determination personified. To establishment feminists, however, she's a disaster. Why? Two words: family values. She has five kids (which is at least four too many for a dogmatic, career-obsessed feminist) and she's pro-life, even in cases of rape and incest. That she also insists on having the rewarding career that feminists wish they had themselves is just too much.

I can’t believe that the NOW crowd isn’t happy that Sarah is chipping at a glass ceiling. If the goal is women’s empowerment, women breaking glass ceilings, and women having a professional career and family life, then Sarah has it all. Sarah is an example of what feminists supposedly wanted to see more of in American women.
When did it become a rule that only liberal women are allowed to excel and break glass ceilings and advance the women’s movement?
It's been that way for a couple of decades now, at least.
It was always the rule. Look at Phyllis Schlafly, and the execrable treatment she's had at the hands of militant feminists. Politics trump everything for these sorts of people.
Feminism to liberals means:
1. Despite taking 20 yrs. off work to raise children you should come back as CEO of company.
2. Unlimited abortions including late term paid for by the government.
3. Unlimited welfare benefits, free dry cleaning and a nanny for each mother.
4. Take enough of x-spouses salary so he can never start another family again.
5. Never do a domestic chore again and wear the ‘pants’ in the family.
They aren't very "pro-choice" about the type of woman a woman can be, are they!

I think the feminists look pretty silly and immature going on TV and whining that Governor Palin should be home babysitting the kids and baking cookies. I hope they keep it up. The whole world is laughing at them.
They can't stand Sarah because she kept her Downs Syndrome baby instead of having an abortion. They're afraid that she'll get Roe v Wade overturned, and because she's a beautiful, classy LADY (something those old cows will never be), they're going to despise her. Jealousy is a terrible thing to deal with.

she is arguably the most pro-LIFE candidate we have ever had nationally and has proven thru her own actions she means it
the double standard is not that she's a woman, it's that she's a conservative one....very in fact.
the fembots hate her because she's gorgeous and has nice legs and figure and she is anti-infanticide more than anything....she got the guy and was probably popular in school
i think she is providential...at least I hope she is.
Because the feminist movement, just like the “civil rights” movement, or environmentalist movement, or the animal rights movement, or the peace movement, or the gay rights movement, all of it are just fake fronts for Marxism.
