As many of you have heard, there is a flag controversy between the Republicans and the DemocRATS. The RNC is claiming that it save about 12,000 Americans flags leftover from Invesco Field in Denver. The claim is that they were headed for the dumpster.
The DemocRATS are claiming that the flags were "stolen" and never intended for the dumpster. They claim that they were in storage and were either to be used again or donated.
If 12,000 flags were stolen, I would think that a police report would have been filed.
In a preliminary contact with the Denver Police, I was transferred to an officer in the communications department. She knew of no police report for the theft of such flags, but she referred me to the Public Information Officer, whom I will attempt to call on Monday.
That is the latest on the story. We will let you know the status after the discussion with the PIO.
Some storage program they have going on there...bag the flags with the Lib-slobbery Coke cans. Yuck.

Those pictures don’t look like leftover bundles...they look like common waste...if they were important they would have had someone retrieve them all right away and not let them be put in trash bags and left for days. No one cared because they were just camera “props” and nothing more to the RATS. They disgust me and then try and say the McCain camp are thieves...unbelievable...

I remember when I first saw the pictures of the discarded flags at Invesco. If I had a flag from a convention, I would want to save it as a souvenir. I still have the first flag to fly on my car after 9-11. It’s a keepsake. Tattered by the wind.
But whatever you do do NOT say they are unpatriotic.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to make the NEA look like something anyone would want to buy. Same problem for Dept of Education, Dept of Energy, and the rest of them. Any ideas.
Seriously, I wonder if we could do this as a spoof. Sell a certificate (that carries no rights) entitling the user to put crosses in urine--cool stuff like that. Or that entitles the buyer, as honorary secretary of education to dumb down any three subjects of his or her choice any say anything he wants (so long as it is nasty) about his choice of any three of the following American Presidents, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan.
Make it clear the proceeds were to be donated to McCain/Palin.
We could also sell an evening with William Ayer's, well a William Ayers lookalike. Discuss how to launch your political career . . . There are actually some agitprop possibilities here.

The idea is to use the eBay ad to mock them. I’ve put several things on eBay to do just that.
I'm good with that. But I think there's money to be raised for McCain/Palin too. I like dinner with William Ayers. And th gvt agencies. If I formed a quick 527, we could have the 527 sell and donate proceeds; or use it for, say, negative publicity for Hussein.
There seems to be two different pictures here. One with trash bags full of trash and flags mixed in with it. Another one with black trash bags full of bundles of flags, no trash. It was the ones with the bundled flags that were taken, not the bags full of trash.
Thats not the same flags in question.

Those flags trashed by the democrats from the DNC were waved at the “Road to Victory Rally” in Colorado Springs, and taken home by Americans who respect them (I have 6).
I must admit these are the cheapest American Flags that I have ever seen. That also says something about the Democrats that the articles do not mention. But, if you knew ahead of time that you were not going to use them a second time, I guess cheap is what you would be after.
