He parses his words carefully, as do I and, as does Clair Wolfe. When someone says “the day will come”, that is like saying what my brother used to always say. He would look at you threateningly and say, “YOU’RE GONNA DIE...eventually!” The joke is that the attitude communicates something different than the actual words. The words are what matter in a court of law.
What Paul said was an obvious probability to anyone studying our nations history. He was merely saying it could happen “someday”. That could be in two hundred years, or he and a bunch of friends are gonna try it tomorrow. Since one cannot discern, from what he said, which he meant, the words are “legally” meaningless.
