MSM Half-Truth on McCain Rally Numbers
Badger Blogger ^ | 9/06/08 | ninenot

In its coverage of John McCain and Sarah Palin in Cedarburg Wi. today, the Associated Press reported:

"More than a thousand people jammed the streets to see McCain and the Alaska governor, his suprise choice for the vice presidential nomination who proved to be the hit of the convention."

Elsewhere, the Wisconsin State Patrol estimated that over 12,000 people were in the "attendance area" at the event and that up to THREE TIMES that number were surrounding the "attendance area."

The good news is that they’re probably lying about the poll numbers as well.

There was a Milwaukee TV station that was there. I saw it live, and it was reported the audience size was 20,000-30,000 according to the highway patrol.

>800 people — pitiful. . . . .

A couple dozen Secret Service types, and a few hundred of the 0ne’s disciples (MSM), his campaign staff, some paid ACORN organizers, and probably a few folks who wandered over to see what all the fuss was about.

I hope this trend holds. I’m happy we are even, but want to see the 0ne completely discredited in a landslide if possible.

I don't think they are addicted. I think they are that special kind of people that are all transmit no receive.

I worked for these kind and worked with them. They never let an opposing thought enter their reptilian brain.

I talked to a friends of mine down here in Texas this morning. His family is from Ohio and pretty much Democrats. His uncle is down this weekend from Illinois.

My friend told me his whole family is so unified behind this ticket and his uncle said he has never been so exited for a ticket both top and bottom in his life.

That’s not a half-truth, that’s a 1/12th truth.

As the print media whines that we're going to miss them when they're gone.

We'll miss reports like this, only in the media's dreams!

When they followed the original story up with a combined article including the later rally, they changed the 1,000 to “thousands”.

Thy are doing this on purpose because the Obama rally’s are shinking fast. The one from Indianna today looked like there were less than a 1000 people in Terra Haute, IN.
