Exactly! Hey Obama. I notice you didn’t have a comeback for McCain today..and please put back the apple you took from that kid’s lunch.

We know Sarah and we know that she would not keep 27 million dollars of tax payer money for a bridge that was never built.

Well, no, I'm kidding on the pronunciation. It's like you say. I was just imagining him giving it a haughty sound like John Kerry would.

And I have anecdotal evidence that Obama isn't even particularily liked by all black people.

That wouldn't surprise me. The only thing he has in common with them is skin color (and he's WAY lighter than most). He has NOT shared in the "African American Experience" as they have.

It wouldn't surprise me if Governor Palin requested federal highway funds, as all governors (including CA governor Ronald Reagan) have from the Eisenhower administration down to now.

But there is a difference between $398MM for a bridge project and $27MM for a highway project.

Especially when the highway in question is the main artery connecting the Ketchikan fishing ports to the Alaska Highway.

They did keep the money..will post when I find more.
But this is from CNN Sept. 22, 2007.NOTE..last year.
Palin is quoted. Think they could look in their own archives.

Barack Obama is offering his first direct criticism of Sarah Palin (PAY'-lin) and it's on the subject of earmarks.

For Zerobama, it always comes back to ears. Don't talk about his ears.

Yeah, I had doubted that Palin really scared them. But this is so stupidly wrong for a Prez to attack a Veep that they really must be in a state of panic.

Very foolish.

Obama’s wheels are falling off.

It's gone over the edge and sliding downhill on the undercarriage. I am starting a pool on whether it lands nose first, on its rear, on its left side or upside down (the other two possibilities being impossible in this moral universe).

This is fairly amusing. The Presidential candidate takes on the VP cadidate on earmarks. Instead of trying to attack his true opponent on his stance on earmarks. With all his warts, McCain is anti-earmark.

Plus, it draws attention to Barry’s own record on earmarks.
Bad move.

I think this is better than any tv show I ever watched.

I really don’t understand this tactic. It makes no sense. He’s vulnerable in 3 or 4 ways here, and you know, KNOW, he’s gonna get hit back. And come out the worse for it.

Very odd.

Who's Obama?

A footnote that will appear in the history books of future generations, alongside Lloyd Bentsen and John Anderson.

I am very excited as his numbers start to tank and the Marxist (Karl not Harpo) media starts to flip out.

The only thing I can figure is that Barry is in a catch 22.

Whatever he says can, and will, have some impact on him. His media darlinghoodship has protected him, and will to a degree in the future. But his gaffes will become even more evident. McCain was totally ignored. But Palin has brought some needed attention to the ticket.

I'm no politician, but if were me, I'd stay on message and not try any clumsy attacks.

Heres a pearl thats even better me thinks on earmarks, especially that bridge to nowhere.

Also, Obama and 81 other senators opposed an amendment in 2005 to strike the infamous $231 million “Bridge to Nowhere” earmark for Alaska and redirect that funding to help with rebuilding New Orleans.
The Senate rarely backs efforts to strike another member’s pet projects.

If Obama faces McCain in a general election, he may be hit over the earmarks issue. Unlike McCain, Obama voted with most of Congress for the 2005 highway bill, which included an eye-popping 6,000 earmarks worth more than $24 billion.
