Republicans have regained their status as the largest voting bloc in Colorado, a battleground state for the 2008 presidential election.
The Colorado secretary of state says in a report posted online this week that registered Republicans total more than 1,024,500. Unaffiliated voters are second at just under 1,022,400.
Democrats are third at just under 946,200. But in June and July, Democrats registered nearly 13,700 new voters, compared with just under 4,100 new Republican registrations and about 400 new unaffiliated voters.

Oops! This is almost as bad for the DemocRATS as that story about the troops in Afghanistan killing 250 Taliban guys.

I wonder what percentage of that 13,700 are actually among the living.
BO's good buddies at ACORN are no doubt busy doing just that.
Who did Colorado go for in 2004?

After two years of Democraptic Rule, the citizens are seeing the truth. This is in spite of major efforts to make registration almost automatic with your Colorado Driver’s License.
However, it may be that the winters are too hard for the imported Dims that escaped San Fran to pollute an otherwise beautiful state.
Importantly, registered Republicans tend to vote as opposed to the remainder. Go GOP
Excellent. This increase in GOP registration is a definite trend, and not just in Colorado. And I’ll wager its pace will accelerate now that Gov. Palin has arrived.

Thanks.
I really do not expect Obama will win CO this time around.
I’m sure we can identify the Conservative California transplants as the ones who don’t start every conversation with “Well, this isn’t the way we did it in California.” I can see how well the way they did it in Kalefornia has worked out so well for the state. (Yes, I am a bitter Colorado native who left Colorado to go spoil another state that so far isn’t so progressive.)
Colorado has only gone Democrat twice since the New Deal. LBJ won it in his 1964 landslide, and Clinton won it once due to Perot siphoning off GOP votes. The Dems have grown stronger there in recent years, mainly because of leftist Californians fleeing the mess they created in California. But I don’t think it’s enough to give the state to Obambi.
From what I can recall about Colorado from the 70s, there aren't many black people there and they don't even have crime.
I watched the live feed of the rally in The Springs today and Mac did fine but he blew my skirts up when he mentioned reprocessing nuclear fuel! That was hugh and serial! I’m just gratified to know that he is aware of this stupid, stupid policy enacted by Jimmah Cahtah.
Now that Palin is on the ticket, and the Focus on the Family crowd is fully onboard, I am feeling very good about our chances in Colorado. This registration news is obviously helpful as well.
I am now moving Nevada up my list as the most worrisome "must win" state for McCain.
