FLDS Children Safe with their Parents
KCSG TV News ^ | September 5, 2008 | Rachelle Killpack

Posted on 09/06/2008 10:18:10 AM PDT by Saundra Duffy

Texas officials say more than 440 children seized during an April raid on a polygamist ranch can safely live with their parents or guardians.

Authorities feared some girls were being forced into underage marriages and boys were being raised to be perpetrators. The Texas Supreme Court later ruled the action was too broad and ordered the children back to their parents. The Associated Press has learned that so far the custody cases for 235 children have been dropped, and Texas Child Protective Services says more cases are likely to be dropped. Only one child - a girl allegedly married FLDS leader Warren Jeffs when she was 12 - has been returned to foster care.

Twenty-six adult women were held against their will for two months, two of whom gave birth while CPS bureaucrats watched in eager anticipation of snatching the baby as it exited the birth canal.

If it hadn't been for good lawyers defending the Constitutional rights of the FLDS, that community would have had not only their children taken from them, but their land, possessions, and what's left of their dignity.

I never thought it could happen in my America.

Funny how there’s been no apology from the MSM regarding all the lies they spewed, including Bill O’Reilly.

Maybe they shouldn’t have forced their children into illegal marriages.

These are brainwashed cult members. Their children are doomed. Read “Escape” by Carolyn Jessop to learn more.

YOu won’t see any apologies from the people here either.

Apparently, the “hundreds” of children in danger weren’t.

A few were.

And my guess is that some here still would defend kidnapping 440 children who were completely safe, in order to rescue the few that were not.

I never thought it could happen in my America.

After the holocaust at Mt. Carmel, I put nothing beyond the scope of control-freak gubbermint. At least Texas didn't incinerate these children, like Janet Reno did at Waco.

Reckon it was worth it for those “few that were not” safe? Were my child counted amongst those “few”, I’d think it worth it.

Best Regards,

BR

Howdy. I am still unclear what a “spiritual marriage” is. I don’t know if the little girl and her spiritual husband jump right into the sack or not. You seem to know all of the particulars.

I think some good has come out of all of this mess, though. For one thing, the unconstitutional gestapo tactics of TX authorities were exposed and hopefully correced. For another thing. the FLDS folk who were actually guilty of crimes will be brought to justice.

Meanwhile, the innocent children who were terrorized during the raid/roundup and aftermath will have to deal with PTSD for the rest of their lives. Hence, the lawsuits that will certainly ensue.

One more thing. Those anti FLDS books written by ex FLDS members with an axe to grind. Carolyn Jessop, for example - she was abused, neglected and exploited but that does not mean that every FLDS man, woman and child is an abuser or victim of abuse. That was the constitutional problem in the first place. TX authorities assumed they were all guilty - treated them as one big crime scene - and that was found to be wrong. We are all individuals worthy of our due process.

We disagree. What else is new? Still friends, I hope. I have a lot of respect for you.

Chuck baby we’ve been over this before ~ you have a far higher tolerance than I do for child rape.

Thank Goodness for that. I will never forget those 24 children burned alive at Waco. I heard there is a memorial there; some day I would like to visit it to pay my respects.

Safe with their parents? Right, now the freakish marriages will start all over again.

CPS was out of line but this is no reason to celebrate and be apologists for illegal wierdo FLDS'ers...

The pro raid, pro roundup folks will never admit they were wrong. Human nature, I guess.

I just feel so sad for the innocent FLDS men, women and especially the children who suffered such a horrible injustice.

Let the guilty pay and leave the innocent alone. I thought that was the American way of justice.

Do you have proof that children were being raped? Did you actually see this? Whatever happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty?

I wish you would stop making wild accusations with no evidence. You are supposed to wait until the trails are over. Thanks.

Yeah, but look at all those charges and convictions... /s

I tried to urge some caution around here, and I know you did too. So did others. All people could focus on were the wild charges. Oh yes, there were going to be many people put in prison. Children were being saved I tell ya... /s

I would like to think this will be a lesson to people. The armored personnel carriers, the swat team, the automatic weapons, the full scale military assault of the farm... it was all approved by most folks here. They couldn’t get enough of it. Those vile FLDS people were sub-human. Easy to approve of going after folks once the authorities have convinced you they’re only going after sub-humans.

That’s why I urged folks to cool off and watch how it played out. Oh, I was the devil’s spawn. I approved of old men and children having sex. Bull-s—t! I simply believe in due process and adherence to our Constitutional rights. Surprisingly enough, you can convict folks going by the book.

Well, here we are. Pie and egg on the faces of a lot of loud mouths. And where are they now?

Some convictions will take place. About the number of people I predicted in the first place... somewhere between five and ten people. 460 plus children ripped from their parents or guardians arms.

Aren’t we proud. Well, I’m not. We just saw a massive abuse of our fellow citizen’s rights. And we saw the classic tactics used by the worst dictators in history used to excuse it.

There are always trumped up charges to excuse what takes place. And some folks never quite seem able to remember that in between the abuses.

I hope even a small few might have learned something here, but so effective was the demonization, that they are still sold on sticking it to people the government said were wretches, but when push came to shove, couldn’t produce the goods.

Sorry Sandy, I'm still not a court of law. You'll have to go down to the courthouse to find one of them. As a private citizen I am entitled to come to guilty/innocent judgments as I see fit.

I can do that on as little evidence as I wish too.

Don’t you feel the least bit had? Seriously!

Look at the hoopla up front. Look at what has been proven so far. Nothing. Only a few men have been charged.

I’m all for going after folks using due process and measures that comply with our Constitutional guarantees.

None of us approves of underage marriage and statutory rape. Still, after all the abuses by the government of all the children, the best you can do is give the government a pass and rail on the fact that a few may have been guilty.

Who is the apologist here? We don’t defend the perps. You do the government. Who did you take time to slam here? Oh yes, it’s the apologists for the FLDS men. I haven’t seen one person here defend criminality, except those who gave the government a complete pass.

And you have. That works two ways bud. How would you like your neighbors to convict you on trumped up charges? If you’re going to sign off on being the judge, are you going to sign off on being the executioner as well? Inquiring minds would like to know. Got that rope ready ace?

List the names of the men you know were guilty. I’d like to know who you’re going to string up.

Fortunately for the guilty parties the law works to protect them from private initiative when it comes to hanging.

You might think about that for a moment ~ the law protects the same guilty people who otherwise don't want the law to protect children from their base lust.

Thanks for Post #15. As you can see, though, the MSM and many FReepers prefer to continue to believe gov’t lies and propaganda.

When I think of the two FLDS adult women who gave birth while CPS watched and waited to snatch their babies, I get sick to my stomach. I just can’t believe some FReepers are OK with that - and that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Anyway, the children apparently are somewhat safe now with their families. For now anyway . . . Meanwhile, the government is still trying to snatch FLDS property and possessions.

Remember, right from the beginning, my husband said it was all about the FLDS property - the ranch is right smack dab in the middle of the NAFTA super highway. FLDS paid $700,000 for the ranch, made tons of improvements, and now it’s worth millions.
