This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Before McCain speaks today, veterans will haul these garbage bags filled with flags out onto the stage with dramatic effect, no doubt and tell the story.
What you see in the picture I sent you is less than half of total flags, a Republican official emailed. We estimate the total number to be around 12,000 small flags and one full size 3×5 flag.
Im not sure what the DNC was supposed to do with unused hand-flags, frankly. But the Republicans are obviously questioning someones patriotism here

Those flags look a lot larger than little 2x3 plastic flags. I wonder if we could find out where they were made?
I had to get to post #26, yours, before finding the proper response.
Bill Ayers= SHIT
addendum from the hubby:
It seems that the Democratic party is following the lead of its candidate in disrespecting the American flag.
I guess I know the proper disposal of a flag because I’m an old bat and went to school in the dark ages, the latter half of the 50’s. We learned in grade school how to treat a flag. :-)
My teenage daughter knows the regulation, but she didn’t learn it in school.
So I'm guessing, David, that these are not left-overs from the campaign media event in Germany, eh? They didn't bring back bags of the extras that weren't handed out there that day to save money, not have to buy new ones come Convention time.
Expect this: Obama’s minions will whine and insist that this is a setup, and that McCain’s people are making all of this up. Still, there were postings about this, including pics, right after the Dem convention.

There are always Americans that will know what to do with them and where to put them.
Hi Ma!
Very nice.
“The DNCC community credentials incorporate patriotic design elements,” said Natalie Wyeth of the DNCC in a statement to the station. “They do not depict an actual American flag. The DNCC has full and complete respect for the flag and all rules of display.”

Grandpa was a stickler about how to treat a flag too so it wasn't just school.
I haven't talked to you in a long time. How have you been?
Know what they have in Common? both have friends that bombed the pentagon.
Hello there, sweetness!
It has been a long time. I’ve been good, I think.
Unless one considers the PostTraumaticStressMenopause. I could wrap it all up over there in a day or two, according to my mother. Hubby has no comment ; )
How have you been?
I've been fine. We moved in April. Still not all unpacked. I'm so glad I have a sense of humor. I've needed it. Now we have TS Hanna trying to beat my new rose garden to shreds. Some days............................LOL
Thank you ever so much for that Samuel Adams quote. To me the key part is this "Crouch down and lick the hands that which feed you. May your chain be set lightly upon you and posterity" It is what welfare states always lead to and when the government over extends it's largess's riot ensue by those who have been taught to feel entitled to free stuff. The part in the HBO series "ROME" where the wheat dole is reduced shows what happens.
Better watch out, ZerObama will be sending them a bill for those flags.
Just goes to show how smart ole Ben Franklin was when he wrote as Poor Richard "One mans trash is another mans treasure". Hmmmmmmmmm .......... that also fits for that "Barracuda" song too.
