This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Before McCain speaks today, veterans will haul these garbage bags filled with flags out onto the stage with dramatic effect, no doubt and tell the story.
What you see in the picture I sent you is less than half of total flags, a Republican official emailed. We estimate the total number to be around 12,000 small flags and one full size 3×5 flag.
Im not sure what the DNC was supposed to do with unused hand-flags, frankly. But the Republicans are obviously questioning someones patriotism here.
You can see the headlines tomorrow, can’t you:
“RIGHT WING HOMOPHOBES STEAL BAGS OF DNC PROPERTY”
Aide: “One minute our beloved flags were there, the next thing anyone knew, a group of ‘Boy Scouts’ walked off with them.’ Investigation underway”
Better get a lawyer fellas...
Well...she got my attention :)
Gotta love it. The headline states “Dems trash 12,000 flags. Republicans Recycling”
Repubs: Red, White, Blue, Green
Dems: Red (read it however you want)
Fox news just covered it again. At the McCain rally today, McCain will be talking about how they came to have posession of these flags (the boy scouts of America) and will be handing them out to the crowd.
It appears as if this will become a campaign issue.
what a disgusting picture! I had not seen it before, but ayers is appalling.
But when I watched Sarah and John McCain, the crowd chanted, "U.S.A."
So which campaign is about America? And which campaign is about someone's ego?
anyone have a link to a CO TV station airing this live? Thanks in advance.
Someone should post the Ayers picture juxtaposed next to the one of Zero not saluting the flag (and, if you are so moved, layer in the Drudge caption “Dems trash 12,000 flags with a picture of the recovered duffel bags”)
Wow! How good (bad) is that! If this triptych were hanging in a museum, afficionados of modern art would immediately conclude that the artist was trying to denigrate America, no?
Ship it off to Rush, to Hannity, to FOX. The power of symbolism cannot be minimized.
That wasn’t harsh ... that was truth.
Lets see .. 20 million aborted democrats. And yes ... I feel anguish and sorrow for each and everyone of those innocent lives, our hope and joy .. they are in a better place.
“I don’t want my daughters to be punsished by a Baby” loose parpahras of Barack Hussein.
There is a punishment nobody on this board can visualise or imagine for those that turn their backs. I’m not a prophet nor a son of a prophet ..... Just one that understands scripture.
Repeating my comment: I still remember the amazement by those in Colorado after Dans Bake Sale. The city was expecting and ready to clean up tons of trash and were shocked that there wasnt any lieing around. Just a lot of full trash cans. The only damage was to a flower pot and that was done by the horse of a mounted policeman.
the truth hurts sometimes.......not harsh at all
oh yeh - I saw this, major dimbulb error
Whenever leftists insist that a particular topic or tactic is “out of bounds,” that’s an excellent target indicator. Obama’s “don’t question my patriotism” posturing provides an excellent example. Kudos to the McCain braintrust for zeroing in unabashedly on this weakness. Those folks are really on a roll...

Tickets to the event are sold out, but 9NEWS.com plans to live stream the event. A link will be provided on the home page.
Dissing the flag at Invesco.
Old Glory isn’t thrown out like drink cups and paper plates (unless it’s at an Obama event).
