Yo Al Baby! :)
TGIF to you & wishing you a good weekend!
IN!
Have you at some time found yourself under extreme pressure? Have there been episodes in your life when you were so burdened by tasks and responsibilities that there was simply no breathing space to prepare for your service to God?
That was the experience of a pastor by the name of A. J. Gossip. During one hectic week, he didnt have his customary amount of time to prepare his sermon. As he walked to his pulpit that Sunday morning, he felt guilty about the scanty sermon notes in his hand. It seemed that the Lord was asking him, Is this the best you could do for Me this week? And Gossip honestly replied, Yes, Lord, it is my best. He told a friend later that Jesus took that ill-prepared piece of work and in His hands it became a trumpet to his congregation.
The apostle Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to give their all for God (1 Thess. 5:14-22). They were to exhort, warn, comfort, rejoice, pray, and express their gratitude to Godamong other things. We too should always do our best in our Christian life and service. But when pressure-periods come and we just dont have the time we feel we need, we should do the best we can and then prayerfully trust Gods faithfulness (v.24).

To lead off the Flyby we have a nice Flag-O-Gram featuring Peter Jacobs and Angel 7.
Next up picture of Bob Carlton's Alisport Silent-J jet sailplane. Yep Mr. Carlotn had added two jet engines that are designed for R/C aircraft. Each engine weighs about 5 pounds and generates 45 pounds of thrust. Bob and his sailplane put on really exciting show and most remarkably it is virtual silent. All you can hear is the very soft sound of the two small jet engines, it sounded alot like the next door neighboring vaccuming out the car. I just wish I had a better camera to get some pictures of the inticate manuevers that he performed.
Sean Tucker and Team Oracle were at the show again this year. Sean flies a custon built Pitts Challenger bi-plane with over 400hp for a weight of 1200 pounds. The Challenger has several innovative features among them 8 ailerons instaed of the usual four ailerons!
Mr. Tucker can perform some amazing flight manuvers in this aircraft. He was able to fly most of the length of the runway at a 45degree angle to the runway. Another part of his routine he is able to , I kid you not, hover the airplane for about 30 seconds. As you can see from this picture he had somebodys rapt attention:-)
The US Air Force was there with the F-15 Demo Team out of Eglin Airforce Base. I was fortunate enough of catch this shot of the F-15 as he landed after performing a Heritage flight with a P-51 Mustang.
I believe I mentioned that there was a P-51 Mustang in the air. Well after the F-15 Eagle had landed the P-51 was joined by a Lockheed P-38 Lightning. The P-38 was not on the program originally but I think was a last minute fill in due to one of the other planes having a mechanical issue. Did not matter to me as I was able to get to see these two great planes in the air.
Well that wraps up tonight's Flyby, tomorrow night I have some nice shots of the Thunderbirds that I was very fortunate to get.
Hope everybody has a great weekend. And I hope all the hurricanes fizzle out.
Regards
