OR grandchild. Or whether or not a mother of a special needs child - got a special needs grandchild who's mother is pursuing a biology degree on the hope of becoming a veterinarian, too - has the RIGHT to run for elective office just because she's got a special needs kid. That REALLY burns me: you should treat a special needs child like any other kid as far as possible. Everyone knows that. Otherwise, all you do is hold them back and make them more especially needy than they otherwise could be. Thus the Special Olympics.

Judging Sarah Palin on the basis of how she's raised her own family is sick. If she were an abortion activist, the while feminazi crowd would be on her side.
