Missed most of Rush’s first hour, but I must say, I truly did like parts of McCain’s speech. For all my distrust and discomfort with him; I did feel like he “connected” as the pundits say, with me last night. Was it a perfect speech? No, but it was something I could get behind! I loved the finish.
I agree with you on that. People who were expecting him to instantly transform into a conservative were of course, disappointed, but I expected McCain to be McCain.
