Rush stated that some "unforseen" circumstances might knock Biden out of the race in the near future, and Obama might make some sort of last ditch effort to grab Hillary.

There has been FR speculation about this, too... Biden has had a couple aneurysms and is at a risk of having another.

Interesting... I read yesterday on HillaryClintonForum.net that two of Hillary’s top campaign people are going to McCain’s camp to help... I haven’t been able to find that info. elsewhere - yet. I think Hillary is going to be gritting her teeth and biting her lip if she says anything bad about Palin.

Surprised?? Hitlery will do everything POSSIBLE to sink Osamabama as long as her fingerprints can't be detected. She cannot tolerate an Osamabama victory, and she most certainly will not become second banana on his ticket.

A lesson from American history: the ONLY sitting VP to challenge a sitting president was John Nance Garner in 1940, challenging Roosevelt, ostensibly because Garner revered the ''2-term tradition'' started by George Washington.

Garner got his clock very thoroughly cleaned, and vanished from politics, couldn't run for dogcatcher, as they say. Hitlery would too, postulating an Osamabama victory in 2008.

As an 'outsider' in 2012, i.e. not a sitting officeholder, she has a chance (in the best of all worlds, 2 chances, namely, 'none' and 'whatchu smokin').

Hitlery wants the presidency as badly as a crackhead wants another pipefull. She simply will NOT put herself at any perceived or historical disadvantage in attempting to achieve that goal. PUMA sums it up nicely: Party Unity? My A&& (and a very substantial one it is, too).
