PITTSBURGH – Barack Obama's camp is unloading on Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin after Palin described herself as a "pit bull" and then tore into Obama in a tough convention speech.
"There wasn't one thing that she said about Obama or what he's proposing that's true," fumed Obama's strategist David Axelrod, speaking to reporters aboard Obama's campaign plane.
Axelrod defended Obama against one of Palin's most biting lines, when she ridiculed a favorite part of Obama's resume, saying: "I guess a small town mayor is sort of like a community organizer -- except that you have actual responsibilities."
"They can demean service in the community but I think most people appreciate it," Axelrod shot back.

He stirred up dissent and discontent in poor neighborhoods and registered Democrat voters.
That’s about the extent of it.

oh yeah? Prove it!
You can prove he was a community organizer, but can you prove he was actually responsible for anything?
Can you prove he’s going not to raise taxes?
Can you prove he’s sponsored any legislation?
Can you prove he didn’t vote “present” all those times?

Trying to remember....

He made Chicago safer for the criminals, didn't he?
We tend to prefer candidates who don't talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.
But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate.
This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign.
The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it.
Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit.
Terrorist states are seeking new-clear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions.
Taxes are too high (opinion) ... he wants to raise them. (FACT)
The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars.
And though both Senator Obama and Senator Biden have been going on lately about how they are always, quote, "fighting for you," let us face the matter squarely.
There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you ... in places where winning means survival and defeat means death ... and that man is John McCain.
Put some ice on it Obama. Soros, Ayers, Rezko, hell, not even Hillary can save you now.
The trick here is to diminish Obama by baiting him into a back and forth over his experience versus Palin’s, when she isn’t the one he is running against. Certainly the gut response to being battered like that would be to say “She went to Idaho. I have degrees from Harvard and the U. of Chicago? I’m an intellectual blah blah” then add a bunch insults aimed at small-town, rural America. Wonder how that would go over in the swing states. Obama is trapped. Instead he has to send out Biden, who is already desperately trying to lower expectations for his debate performance after being touted as a clock cleaner. This is why Newt is smiling so much lately.
Waaaaahhhhh, waaaaaahhhh, waaaaaahhhh.
Someone change the baby’s diaper, please, and put him back to sleep so I can enjoy the rest of Palin’s debut.
To David Axelrod:
As you well know, Gov Palin is not demeaning service in a community. She is criticizing your man’s role as a “community organizer” for the communist front organization ACORN. Did Obama know ACORN was/is a communist front organization at the time? Does he know it now?
“Community organizer” = “Give me money or these people will riot.”
