I had dinner last night with a Republican-leaning independent who was despondent over John McCain's choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. She had been looking forward to supporting McCain as a fiscal conservative with a deep understanding of foreign relations. But all she could now see was that picture of Palin's pregnant 17-year-old looking defiant and stupid as she held mom's fifth baby.

Many religious conservatives are jubilant. They regard Palin as a swell choice because her high-schooler was going to have the baby. The line sent my friend into shock. This is not a matter of abortion politics, she said, but of managing one's own affairs.

I think there is a segment of the liberal-leaning female population who just hate children and those who bear them.

I can’t have my own kids, but have adopted 2 and am waiting for the 3rd. I was asked by one perplexed woman why I adopted when, if I felt the need to love something, I could just get a dog. Go figure.

This thought came to me the other day in reading about the abortion issue. The WOMB is the only part of a woman's body that has no function unless there is another human inhabiting it. Therefore, it is NOT a part of her body that a woman can exercise complete control over. The Womb belongs to the Baby who lives in it, not to the woman/mother-to-be who is carrying the womb with the baby in it.

Maybe scientists and doctors should work on an invention that will copy what the womb does so that these "wymn" who wish for abortions can have their entire WOMB removed and the womb can be placed in this invention and allow the BABY inside, to grow and then be adopted. THEN the "wymn" don't have to worry about Abortion because they no longer have the WOMB, which WAS NOT THEIRS TO DESTROY in the first place.

OR
"Wymn" who are pro-abortion should just have their uterus removed when they turn from "women" to "wymn" and then go about their lives without trying to force their opinions on others.

Won't ever happen, I know. Not too much science, but lately medicine seems bent on destroying life -- elderly, sick, if they need body parts, unborn -- instead of "doing no harm" to life.

This is maybe the third or fourth time today on the net that I have seen - word for word - this same “opinion” about Palin, under different by-lines (different “authors”) on different venues.

I think the Dims have planted some trolls, even on some “conservative” venues, and now they are executing the line of march on Palin - claim to be speaking with or speaking for “Independents” or “Moderates” of either party, in attempt to frame their view as the view of “Independents” and “Moderates”.
