Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- As news of the pregnancy of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol makes the headlines, she is coming under attack from backers of pro-abortion candidate Barack Obama. But few have gone as far as former Planned Parenthood president Gloria Feldt, who suggested Palin is making her daughter keep the baby.

I remember three couples when I was in highschool who got married after the girls got pregnant.
Of course - no one thought the marriages would last - especially one couple that were both known for being troublemakers (pot-smokes - smart-a$$es).
Guess which couples showed up to our 15th reunion still happily married?
Guess how many classmates who married in their twenties were already divorced?
The troublemakers?
They grew up - had great jobs. They looked great and they looked happy.

A 17 year old girl was in my office about 6 years ago (I was 50 then.) She came in unannounced to tell me she was having an abortion, and the people were out in a car waiting to take her to another city. I could only figure that she needed someone to tell her that there were alternatives. I told her that it could wait one day, that that couldn’t make a difference. I then asked if she was afraid to tell the people in the car she had changed her mind. She said yes. I told her to leave my office and go to the library next door for a half hour. I didn’t see or hear from her for well over a year, so I knew nothing of the out come. She walked in one day with a little girl. the child is now in school.

Their real outrage is that a parent is impacting their childs life overriding the state.
That and the birth of a “less than perfect” baby which they would rather abandon to die alone.
I applaud the palin’s for walking the walk.
I call BS on this as well. HOW is she 'forcing' her to keep it? This from an organization that has fought parental notification requirements for abortions performed on minors. HOW can she legally FORCE her to keep the baby???
Now social and family pressure? PP can't do crap about someone's conscience.
