Palin mocks the media, Obama

ST. PAUL, MINN. - Greeted by thunderous applause, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin presented herself to the Republican National Convention on Wednesday -- and to millions of Americans watching from home -- as a small-town outsider ready to join John McCain's ticket in waging "a tough fight in this election against confident opponents at a crucial hour for our country."

"I will be honored to accept the nomination for vice president of the United States," she said in one of the convention's most anticipated speeches.

With those words, the crowd roared -- and the flashes of thousands of cameras reflected off her glasses.

It was the crowning moment of a roller-coaster week in which the first woman ever on a Republican presidential ticket has faced questions about how closely the McCain campaign scrutinized her. The 44-year-old self-described "hockey mom" also has heard a wide range of inquiries about family issues, her policy positions and her record of public service.

Palin took crowd-delighting swipes at Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama and what she called the "Washington elite."

"The American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of 'personal discovery.' This world of threats and dangers is not just a community, and it doesn't just need an organizer," Palin said, a reference to Obama's time as a community organizer in Chicago.

She’s speaking the emotional language of soccer moms and middle America. To the MSM, it’s gobbledegook and they’ll be left scratching their heads, wondering how the polls could have been so far off.

.

.

Here’s how I’ve been bumping Palin/Obama threads.

Sung to the tune of “Oh! Susanna, don’t you cry for me.”

“Oh, no Bama, please don’t lie to me... for I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.”

I come from Minnesota with my laptop on my knee;
I’m goin’ to Free Republic my true love for to see.
It rained all night the day I left,
the weather it was dry;
The sun so hot I froze to death,
Obama don’t you lie.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I come from Minnesota,
with my laptop on my knee.

I had a dream the other night,
When everything was still;
I thought I saw Obama dear,
A-coming for The Hill.
The smearing lie was in Duluth,
The tear was in his eye,
Said I, I’m coming for the truth
Obama don’t you lie.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I’m off to Free Republic,
with my laptop on my knee.

I fight in my pajamas,
It’s plain for all to see.
I aim to be the next Buckhead;
The media all hate me.
I fell in love with Sarah
When my sister bit a moose.
The Guvnor’s family ate it up
And then they set it loose.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I’m off to Free Republic,
with my laptop on my knee.

She loves her sons, she likes her guns,
and Trigonometry.
The media will jump the shark
When Juan makes history.
Well, JimRob knows she’ll pave the trolls
So controversially,
And Berg will knock Obama down
With friends of Hillary.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.

I soon will be in Hawaii,
And then I’ll look all ‘round,
And when I find his birth record,
I’ll fall upon the ground.
But if I do not find it,
This Freeper’ll surely die,
And when I’m dead and buried,
Obama don’t you lie.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you cry for me;
I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee

It is WAY PAST time that someone from the Republican party smakck Obama upside the head. Why McCain has been reluctant to do so is beyond me. It seems that Mrs Palin does not suffer from that malady and in the weks to come as the lapdog liberal media and the Obama camp seek to destroy her children and husband and 2nd uncle form her mother side I would be willing to bet that she will become even more fierce in her attacks on the ZERO.

During her speech, Gov. Palin said Obam-Ah had Zero executive experience and the crowd began chanting and signing ‘Zero’ repeatedly through the speech.

Still on my first cup.

LOL! Cheers and welcome to the celebration. She was BRILLIANT last night.

Here's the video:

LINK TO THE ENTIRE SPEECH - Just WONDERFUL!!!! : )

Worth watching, her presentation was brilliant. She knocked it right out of the park.

For those of you who are still trying to figure her out, this is a "must see".

Actually, it was the female governor of Hawaii who spoke of Barack and Biden’s ZERO experience of running anything that got the crowd riled up as they began to chant “Zero, zeroo, zero”!

The battle lines are being drawn:

A stylish, metrosexual political superstar with a huge following of utterly devoted fans, along with the entire Main Stream Media establishment of the United States

vs.

Sarah Palin

(My money’s on Palin.)

"It is WAY PAST time that someone from the Republican party smakck Obama upside the head. Why McCain has been reluctant to do so is beyond me."

Palin's husband is Native American. That makes her children interracial, which is just the status Obama claims for himself. That makes it very hard to claim that Palin is a racist, even when she goes after Obama hammer and tongs. McCain would be denounced as a racist the very first time he told the truth about his opponents record.

It is a very smart division of labor. I'm sure the Democrats were counting on using the race card against McCain. This at least slows them down a little.

Larry Kudlow, in a National Review piece recently posted, called her “Sarah America”.

I think that should become the Republican rallying cry.

Interesting article from a paper that is very liberal. But the comments scare me as a resident of Raleigh-—it is frightening to live that close to those idiots.
