How does electing the most liberal senator and the third most liberal senator for the Democrat ticket unite the country?

The only guy on the liberal spectrum between the Big O and Slow Joe is the avowed socialist Bernie Saunders of Vermont. What does that say? Are we ready for a socialist Executive branch?

We need to quit talking about how bad the economy is. I listened to Boortz yesterday and we are really doing very well. 2nd highest in disposable spending, salaries very high, jobless rate down, a lot of new jobs created. Bush has done a good job.

I merely said a rough phase now, which is true—GDP isn’t the only barometer of the economy. I don’t think the economy is in ruins by any means. And Bush has done a great job on the economy overall—it’s a miracle we didn’t go into a depression after 9/11.

... the same divisive, partisan attacks we've heard from George Bush for the last eight years," said Bill Burton, the campaign spokesman for Sen. Barack Obama.

Hey Mr. Burton, go tell your VP nominee about divisive, partisan attacks!

In case you don't remember, Joey is the CREATOR OF THE BORK SUPREME COURT CONFIRMATION PROCESS!

Cool, they’re running against Bush. They haven’t gotten the memo that Bush isn’t running. So Palin is running circles around them.

.

.

Here’s how I’ve been bumping Palin/Obama threads today.

Sung to the tune of “Oh! Susanna, don’t you cry for me.”

“Oh, no Bama, please don’t lie to me... for I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.”

I come from Minnesota with my laptop on my knee;
I’m goin’ to Free Republic my true love for to see.
It rained all night the day I left,
the weather it was dry;
The sun so hot I froze to death,
Obama don’t you lie.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I come from Minnesota,
with my laptop on my knee.

I had a dream the other night,
When everything was still;
I thought I saw Obama dear,
A-coming down the hill.
The smearing lie was in Duluth,
The tear was in his eye,
Said I, I’m coming for the truth
Obama don’t you lie.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I’m off to Free Republic,
with my laptop on my knee.

I fight in my pajamas,
It’s plain for all to see.
I aim to be the next Buckhead;
The media all hate me.
I fell in love with Sarah
When my sister bit a moose.
The Guvnor’s family ate it up
And then they set it loose.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I’m off to Free Republic,
with my laptop on my knee.

She loves her sons, she likes her guns,
and Trigonometry.
The media will jump the shark
When Juan makes history.
Well, JimRob knows she’ll pave the trolls
So controversially,
And Berg will knock Obama down
With friends of Hillary.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me;
I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.

I soon will be in Hawaii,
And then I’ll look all ‘round,
And when I find his birth record,
I’ll fall upon the ground.
But if I do not find it,
This Freeper’ll surely die,
And when I’m dead and buried,
Obama don’t you lie.

Oh! No Bama, don’t you cry for me;
I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee

LOLOL.........talk about lame, that response said it all.

They fire off a dud and then try to figure out what to do next.

Brit Hume dutifully read it and remarked about waiting for comments that weren’t part of the same talking points.

Their latest campaign promise! If elected they will pursue criminal charges against President Bush.

That ought to get the voters fired up. Great way to deal with national security, the economy, and energy prices.

Thought that was a code pinko being hustled out of the building.

And it sounded like that other loon shrieking the night away on Tuesday was gone too.

Yep. I agree with your post 100%.

It was great to see someone kick ass and take names...or name the names!

Even BETTER that it was a woman! The libs are just...sputtering and spitting!

As usual, when they can't rebut points made against The One, they pout and point their finger accusingly at the candidate daring to state the obvious. I'm sorry, but these liberal babies need to understand that in politics you need to point out the differences between your position and the other side. That isn't being divisive - it's running for office and too bad if they can't take the heat.

Nobama has temporarily brought together the divisive fascist and communist factions of the Marxist democrat party.

Ribbentrop would approve, and nobama will see the eventual bloodbath in the divisive party he created.

"economy...rough patch"

Agree with all your sentiments, but remember we still haven't had a recession since his election. And remember Clinton's handing off of a recession to Bush. Plus Nasdaq crashed in 2000 Clinton's last year. Not Clinton's fault, but they want to give him credit for the 90's boom without blaming him for the 2000 crash. Not discussed much among Dems.

If they don’t find an effective message by lunch today, this election is over. Not to say it wont have a lot ups and downs in the next 2 months, but there just isn’t an answer here.

You have a center right Republican who is best known to people as the ‘anti-Bush’ in the party. They can’t make him Bush III. He is a true war hero. They cannot peel away his foreign policy advantage. For VP, If they attack too much more there is going to be more backlash from women. If they attack her experience, it is going to make their #1 look bad. Unlke the last 5-8 years, the GOP did not effectively defend themselves. This wonderful lady will slice and dice the opponent against unwaranted attacks, and with a smile.
