Your post was emailed to me, and brought forth the following.
I hope you enjoy it.
Your like about the neurons is priceless, by the way.

;-)

“She’s totally out of step with the American Jewish community,” he said. “She is against reproductive freedom – even against abortion in the case of rape and incest. She has said that climate change is not man-made. She has said that she would favor teaching creationism in the schools. These are all way, way, way outside the mainstream.”

Such a target rich environment! Let’s start at the top of this steaming pile. Got your boots on, everyone?

“She’s totally out of step with the American Jewish community.” That is not correct. The corrected sentence reads as follows:
“She’s totally out of step with the Big Sh*tty, Liberal, socialism impaired, segment of the American Jewish community.”

Even on South Beach, nearly 50% of the Jews were not suffering the Marxist/Stalinist delusions of their parents, as of some years ago. That from the Head Master of a Jewish secondary school on South Beach, no less.

Stepping deeper, we encounter this deliberate deception:
“She is against reproductive freedom.”

This classic Femi-Nazi talking point is what even middle school debaters recognize as a “wife beater” accusation. Mr. Deception has substituted the Liberal line “reproductive freedom” for the correct word, which is “abortion”.

Now, Gentle Readers, we must step carefully, and remember not to allow ourselves to begin to laugh, lest we find ourselves laughing so hard that this steaming pile of Liberal talking points we are wading through overtop our boots. Remember, don’t laugh at this line.

She has said that climate change is not man-made. [Author’s note: “climate change”

She is right, Mr. Deception is wrong. What do I base that position on? The greatly abbreviated list is sufficiently long to require a separate paragraph of its own. Before we get to the list, consider that Mr. Deception conveniently forgot that climate has always changed. He is attempting to have you, Gentle reader, confuse normal climate variation with man-created (anthropogenic) climate change. Sneaky!

The historic record, the geological record, the isotopic ratios in polar ice research, the Viking records/history in Greenland, and the temperature records of the last 100 years (once the records were corrected for the Urban Heat Island error), the French vineyard records of the last 1,000 years, ALL support her position. Not to mention many, many, many other indicators of past climate/temperature history, too many to list here, which likewise support Governor Palin’s position and refute Mr. Deception’s position.

The reality is that “anthropogenic Global Warming”, to give Mr. Deception’s talking point its correct name, is just the latest and largest attempt to impose Big Government control of energy as a means to actualize the socialism Mr. Deception has embraced.

In embracing socialism, Mr. Deception has also, and unavoidably, rejected his birth right as an American citizen, his Unalienable Rights. Socialism is antithetical to, and irreconcilable with, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and all but the post-New Deal era of American history.

But, I digress.

Wading on, we come to the edge of Dr. Deception’s pile of deceptive statements and find this last, mini-pile. Let’s not simply look away as we avoid stepping into it. Instead, carefully examine what Mr. Deception has attempted with this last, desperate line:
“She has said that she would favor teaching creationism in the schools”.

What she actually said, and meant, is that when the parents want an idea discussed, educators should so do. Governor Palin, like other Evangelicals, objects to evolution being presented as a truth with no mention being made of other hypotheses, beliefs, etc.

In so objecting, Governor Palin has taken the high ground because her position is also the position of academic freedom of inquiry, the position of Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, etc.

In this refutation of Mr. deception’s deceptions, I have been as reasoned and polite as his deceptive argument deserves. He is a fortunate Liberal, indeed. Had Governor Palin written this, this article would have been far shorter, vastly less charitable, and the entire nation would be laughing at Mr. Deception’s simplistic and transparently deceptive arguments.

It reminds me of what McGuffy (an early educational reformer and author of the McGuffy Readers--most of which would be completely beyond the average middle and high school students) said about parents and education. He said that teachers, of all people, should know how to teach whatever the subject happens to be, but that it is the prerogative of the PARENTS, not the teachers, to determine what subjects are to be taught.
