I think these poor saps thought they could chase Sarah off of the ticket. They would have a better chance of getting Michael Phelps to hand over all of his gold medals. You are only going to get your butt kicked folks.

This is her party now. Conservatism is back ! The next Reagan is here.

Did Harry Reid say that before or after he pi$$ed his pants ?

This is just too priceless!!! Has Harry Reid ever heard his OWN voice played back?? Irritating beyond belief, both the intonation and the intent behind it.

And Pelosi? And the rest of the rogues’ gallery, too numerous to name at this late hour.

The left is truly sputtering and quaking in their boots. GO, McCain/Palin!!!

True dat.

BUT

If McCain expects to sell this ‘change’ deal we better hear specifics tomorrow night. It’s a fantastic political tack but he can’t get away from the FACT that he is a pubbie and the pubbies have blown it out their ass big time for six years.

He’s got to effectively show us he is against that crowd ... always fought them ... AND has some fantastic programs to roll back the corruption the pubbies have wallowed in for the past several years.

Its a daunting task. He’s made a good start but we need s p e c i f i c s!!!

Byrd didn’t seem to think Reid was shrill.

The Republican base will now be highly energized.

Biden has become irrelevant.

Sarah’s “star power” may soon exceed Obama’s. She is Margaret Thatcher, Sarah Connor and Princess Diana, all in one package.

The election is now McCain’s to lose.

Harry Reid doesn’t know what the term shrill means.
Shrill = Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton

Sarah is anything but shrill

But Harry...you were shrill when you said “We lost the war”

This is plain jealousy from a man so colorless that he would disappear were it not for his varicose veins.
Keep up those sexist comments, Dingy Harry, or we may think you are becoming senile.

If she's a female Ronald Reagan, I think the election was won on this:

“But here’s a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I’m not going to Washington to seek their good opinion — I’m going to Washington to serve the people of this country.”

A grand slam at the MSM and the liberal elites who make the rules in this country. Sarah took their arrogance and threw it right back in their face - with good humor and a smile. Only Reagan had that kind of talent!

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

Harry Reid’s “shrill” remark is Hillary Clinton’s best opening at becoming Senate Majority Leader.”

Begala panicked and said the line isn’t crossed unless the “B word” is used, but Campbell B disagreed.

Reid just gave her more ammo like the way Obama continued to give Mccain more ad ideas (Spears, Paris Hilton, “THE ONE” etc. Now Palin can use “SHRILL” to mock Reid’s idiocy.

“Paul Begala is saying only calling Sarah a b***h would be bad.”

Are these people for real? Do they have the nerve to throw around the word “bitch” on national television. Begala’s never been anything but a Clinton flunky. He will soon go the way of Jody Powell and Ham Jourdan, regardless of who wins the election.

Obviously the mortician didn’t personally hear the speech.

I had never heard her speak and my first thoughts were thank god she doesn’t sound like Geraldine Ferarro. Gov. Palin has a VERY pleasant voice. Modulation, diction etc. very nice. She could easily be a spokeswoman for any advertiser lucky enough to get her.

But not now ... we need her :-)

Yes that was excellent. And to Miller’s last point...here’s Harry again, trying to get the 1st word in, so he can feel relevant...while being anything but.

I think it is possible the Democrats just lost the election tonight, but not due to any action or inaction on their part.

I’ve been expecting a Democrat victory because too many of the Republican base — and I’m including independents, libertarians, decline to state’s and unaffiliates here — would stay home and refuse to vote, or just write in a candidate like Ron Paul. The reason the LibDemComs just lost the election is because Palin is energizing the base and they are going to come out and vote for her, not so much for McCain. I expect a mediocre speech from McCain tomorrow and I assume Palin will completely upstage him with here speech tonight.

That said, she give the conservative, religious base a reason to drive to the polls in November and vote for her and McCain. I now expect a McCain win, but I still won’t predict one. Osama’s avalanche of commercials pounding on the economy in the last week could still swing the outcome. But at least the Republicans now have a very real chance of victory in November. Palin is going to have to be front and center from now on in to keep the base energized and compel them to come out and vote in November.
