SNIPPET: “In his October 3, 2008 Friday sermon at the Tehran University campus, Iranian Guardian Council secretary and interim Friday prayer leader Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati said that Iran’s enemies had targeted its economy, and that the U.S.’s economic crisis was “divine punishment” that had made Iranians very happy. Calling the U.S. presence on the Afghanistan and Pakistan borders a problem that “cannot be ignored.” He said that Americans could expect to be “slapped in the face by Islam, Muslims, and the Islamic Revolution,” and concluded his sermon by saying that since the U.S. invaded Afghanistan, “drugs are being produced and distributed under U.S. supervision.” [1]

Gilani: U.S. Cannot Win The Anti-Terror War Without Pakistan
According to a report on the website of the Urdu-language newspaper Roznama Jang, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that without the help of Pakistan, the United States cannot hope to win the war against terror.
According to the report, Prime Minister Gilani made the statement during an interaction with journalists in the Pakistani city of Multan. He also asked the U.S. to agree a civil nuclear partnership with Pakistan, the report added.
