Noonan’s continued popularity is predicated on maintaining her credentials as a Reaganite while productively selling out her side to the liberal MSM. She is doing the same thing with Palin. She equivocates to make it seem as if she empathizes with conservatives.
If she were being treated in this way, she would be blowing a gasket like Ferraro and others.

Fire them as “Consultants.” Murphy and Noonan are through.

"The most qualified? No. I think they wen tfor this-- excuse me -- political bullshit about narratives," she said. "Everytime Republicans do that -- because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at and they blow it." What a fantastic example of a liberal doing what they do best---babbling incoherently, with a mixture of expletives thrown in for good measure. I can picture all the first-semester, know-it-all college freshman saying "hell yeah!" dude!

I guess McCain and Palin haven’t asked Peggy to write any speeches for them.
The closest she’ll get this election cycle? Maybe Biden will plagiarize some of her old work.

Wow, McCain playing politics in a poltical campaign. Who would have thought? You have to consider the
alternatives. Choosing Mitt or Pawlenty would have generated zero buzz. The Dems wrote the script on those two long ago and it would have resulted in a long, slow march to defeat with an un-enthused base and a bored but still ridiculously pro-Obama media. Leiberman would have been a trainwreck. Palin wasn’t quite ready to come off the bench (think blue-chip rookie who gets thrown in the game during the play-offs) but she mixed things up. New script.

Interesting. Peggy Noonan was the same snob who immediately destroyed Harriet Meiers because she wasn't qualified enough since she didn't come from an Ivy League school. Now, same argument from her, different woman.
The public evisceration of Harriet Meiers by Peggy Noonan and her elitist cabal was the beginning of the destruction of George Bush. The libs smelled blood in the water and went in for the kill.

Peggy and Murphy have become DC elites and have been drinking the beltway water. Fact is 80% of Americans are disgusted and think the country is headed in the wrong direction and that includes many conservatives. McCain and Palin will prevail if Obama is exposed for what he is.

I hate to hear this, because she comes across as one of us, but I think she was miffed by Bush when not asked to be a speech writer.
If this is true, then it bothers me tremendously.
Is it true?

"The most qualified? No. I think they wen tfor this-- excuse me -- political bullSTALIN about narratives," I thought the MSMs DNC-faxed talking point LAST week was that Obama was a great candidate because his life made a good story.
How could having a good 'story' make Obama a good president? (The Telegraph August 27,2008 Simon Heffer)

The Dems have launched an all-out attack on this woman. They are filling the airwaves and the newspapers about all kinds of stories about her, twisted, baseless and hostile.
And they are repeating any critical comments made by conservatives or Republicans or even Dems about her.
The whole goal is to destroy her credibility as a politician.
WHY? She is only a VICE-PRESIDENTIAL candidate.
My guess is tow reasons:
1) The more hostiles attention they focus on her, the less people will look at Obama’s miserable credentials.
2) They REALLY fear her. They fear her political views and they fear her ability to perform as an effective candidate.
What Sarah Palin has been subjected to exceeds what Bork, Gingrich, Bush II, and Quayle were subjected to. And it stinks.
My best are on Sarah Palin. I hoep she blasts the Dems tonight and shames those “Republicans” and “conservatives” who have been attacking her so baselessly and unmercifully.
They ONLY eat their own.

In itself, the comments are just her opinion. However, because she also wrote an article on WSJ praising Gov. Palin on the same day, it actually reflects really badly on Ms. Noonan. She looks like two-face hypocrite who says something on her article without believing any of it. I wonder if her feeling toward Pope John Paul II, whom he wrote a biography, is also real. After all, she also praises him in the book.
