Palin-hatred is an artifact of who she is rather than anything she's done. Joe Biden famously rose from the workng class to the Senate. Palin became governor of Alaska, but never left the working class - with her beehive hairdo and librarian glasses, with a husband who is a commercial fisherman and works on a North Shore oil field, and with her hobbies of hunting and fishing. If there's ever been an exemplar of rural America that, in Barack Obama's telling, "bitterly" clings to its guns and religion, it's Sarah Palin. It's her misfortune to be a pioneer with the wrong ideology. So much bile was directed at Clarence Thomas because he was the "wrong" kind of black. Pro-life, pro-gun and a down-the-line, if populist, conservative, Palin is a traitor to her gender and thus encounters the sort of fury always directed at apostates. A popular liberal talk-radio host calls her a "bimbo," a Washington Post columnist compares her to Caligula's horse, and the left-wing blogosphere goes on a demented jag about how her fifth son, Trig, is really the son of her 17-year old daughter, Bristol. The lunacy forced the Palins to issue a statement that Bristol is pregnant, setting off a feeding frenzy from the same press that went out of its way to protect the privacy of John Edwards.

‘with her beehive hairdo and librarian glasses’
That’s no beehive hairdo, and her glasses make her look hot.
And uses the same publications to slander Palin.
Haha! "Sarahphobia!" I love the ring of that.
My wife agrees with you. She says it's called an "up-do".
I like your ditty. Please post it every chance you get (which is a lot!).
I think it’s better than P Diddy’s ditty.
I will never forget the way Biden tried to excoriate Justice Thomas during the confirmation hearings........
I would like to see the O’s head photoshopped on that pic of Palin field dressing a moose!
Why don’t they just rename her Hester Prynne and force her to wear a huge red A? I’m so tired of Christians being the ones accused of being judgemental — when such the opposite is true.
I like it! Its rhythm is coordinated with the lyrics, too.
Good analogy. But remember, even Hester and the Rev. Arthur Dimsdale had their day of redemption! I think Sarah will too.
Hooray! We have a new epithet to hurl at a lib: "You're Sarahphobic!"
I hope so too and I think the liberal media may have overplayed their hand this time. This has been so blatantly obvious and unfair that some of the MSM are on the defensive already. I don’t know if you saw the program but the Sally Quinn Lowry referred to in the post was on O’Reilly tonight and was mild as a lamb.

Yeah, I saw it. Sally pretended to be a good ol’ girl, and O’reilly gave her a pass. Bill must be angling for an invite to one of her dinner parties.
Seeing it at home already.
Non-political wife and daughters haven't been this riled up since Mrs. John Kerry uttered those famous words
"Laura Bush was just a librarian"
I agree and I think the worst of the pack is now NBC. They’ve gone so far to the left that they don’t even bother pretending to be objective anymore.
I didn't see it on Fox, but I read today folks in the convention hall were turning and shaking fists at the NBC booth.
She sure did - a home run with bases loaded! I was switching channels to see what the drive-bys were doing and MSNBC and CNN were disgraceful in their coverage. They didn’t even go through the pretense of being objective. I expected as much from Matthews and Olbermann but usually Blitzer and his panel of commentators al least go through the motions of impartial coverage. But they couldn’t help themselves and people like Campbell Brown and other commentators were blatantly offensive to the point of “in-your-face” editorializing. The good news is that Fox had a vastly greater number of viewers.
Gee, and they wonder why that is happening.
Even Howard Wolfson had to say it was a darn near perfect speech.
They really think those of us who don't run in their circles are a bunch of dumb rubes.
