I think a lot of reporters best think twice or they will ruin their careers. This could bury a lot of the media. I also believe that most people are getting tired of the hate.

The McCain campaign is wrong. The media is on a feeding frenzy because they thought when McCain became the presumptive Republican nominee, they were assured of not having a single conservative running for president or VP.

Then McCain double-crossed them and picked Sarah Palin.

And, here’s a flash for Team McCain: The corrupt MSM is acting vindictively, not merely spitefully.

From the article:

A top adviser to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama...also took a shot at Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Democrat-turned-independent who Tuesday night blasted Mr. Obama’s claims to bipartisanship.

“...he turned to the American people who were watching and then flat-out lied [about] Barack Obama,” Mr. Gibbs said.

wahhhh wahhh wahhh.

What an articulate response to what was a very good speech, aimed at a crucial segment of voters.

The best defense is a good offense. Sarah will take care of things in the coming days, beginning this evening. Nobody is going to push her around. Especially not our press weenies and liberal Obama hatchet men.

The McCain campaign says press coverage of John McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin, has gone overboard, and that reporters are being spiteful because the campaign managed to keep the press from learning about her selection until they announced it themselves.

"No John, it's because they hate you..."

Nice. Mac is playing rope-a-dope with the Drive-Bys.
Watch for them to overreact and assault McCain’s “hot temper”, “age”, “senility”, etc. The Drive-Bys will alienate even more citizens and hasten their own dinosaurian demise.

The MSM used to be able influence voters with subtle shading or spinning in a way that wasn’t open or obvious. Over time, roughly the last 35 years, the bias became more recognizable, and necessarily became more and more overt as it was less and less effective. This year, the bubble burst, and subtlety and shading are no longer effective. Now the MSM is waging open war on its ideological adversaries with lies, naked hatred and open contempt. The pretense and denial is over, and the MSM is fighting for its survival, hopeful of becoming a kingmaker rather than just an echo chamber for liberal dogma. 2008 is the turning point; America will be either manipulated by a political media that can dictate its beliefs and promote anyone it sees fit into positions of leadership, or the media as we know it will perish.

So far, the scrutiny has not dented the support of evangelical and fiscal conservatives, who have said Mrs. Palin's selection has renewed their faith in Mr. McCain's candidacy.

Translation of this statement: Conservatives tell the media and Left we're not joining them on their fast track to Hell.

I disagree with this assessment. A viper needs no reason to bite. It is a viper. Biting is what it does.

Governor Sarah Palin is not only a dragon slayer, she is a three headed dragon slayer: the entire mainstream press, the washington insider ruling class, and the democrat party are all connected by a scaly, nasty body of horrible philosophies.

Governor Sarah Palin is up against a vile and wicked three headed monster. Governor Sarah Palin is a hero—she will slay the dragon.

such a shame that the politics of today come down to trying to discredit your opponent in order to increase your chances of being elected to office as opposed to selling yourself to the voters by telling them what you are going to do to better this country if elected. i for one think palin was an excellant choice as she is a breath of fresh air and will shake up washington good ol boy politics as usual. kind of reminds me of when ol uncle ronnie ran for president. then we have obama’s choice for v.p. a man that ran against him in the primarys and told us how obama is not qualified for the presidency. now that biden is the v.p. pick obama has all the experience in the world. sounds like same ol good ol boy politics to me.
