Hey all! Just popping in to say hi while waiting for my next report to run.
I’m in! Rush will probably be fired up about all the cheap shots being thrown at Sarah Palin. Wish I had some popcorn!
I am going to be ‘all ears’ today!
Yeah, yeah I know that it's not Sarah Palin in the picture but that shouldn't stop anyone from launching any type of rumor about Sarah Palin.
Rush, if you don't mention this on the air, I'll post more and more rumors. LOL.
I would like to suggest that Rush begin to refer to the media as “drive-by media maggots.” It’s the only word I know that adequately describes these bottom-feeding scum who seek to eat away at human flesh and leave behind only the remnants of putrid smelling organic matter.
The disgusting media and the Left will pay a severe price for their smearing. The media is trying to define her, but tonight she will define herself...as one of us; a conservative, and proud of it. She is real and authentic. Now is the time to go on offense.
I heart Palin. God bless Rush! :)

Four presidents generally ranked in the top fifteen by historians have had experience comparable to Governor Palins prior to assuming office: Franklin Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Grover Cleveland.
Sarah Palin spent four years as a City Council Member for Wasilla, Alaska, six years as Mayor of Wasilla, and two years as Governor of Alaska.
FDR spent just over two years in the New York State Senate, eight years as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and four years as Governor of New York.
Theodore Roosevelt three years in the New York State Assembly, two years as Governor of New York, one year as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and less than one year as Vice President of the United States.
Woodrow Wilson spent eight years as President of Princeton University and two years as Governor of New Jersey.
Grover Cleveland spent two years as Sheriff of Erie County, two years as Mayor of Buffalo, and two years as Governor of New York.
Overall, Id say that Palins background is comparable with that of several presidents considered highly successful, even considering that her state has a smaller population than the other two states on the list.
While Obama has been running for office for as long as Palin has been running a state, I find it hard to consider the two tasks as comparable preparation.
One final note: I will be posting this multiple times because I think it is important to get the word out that that her experience is in keeping with previous presidents. I apologize to those who are annoyed by seeing it too often.
Lunch is ending and I have to teach (no, I can't listen to Rush while teaching), but please let me know if he uses it on the air.

Is there anywhere to listen to Rush on the internet?
They don’t seem to be carrying him here in Detroit.
The way Palin is being treated

It's fascinating to me that it's the Democrats, and especially Democrat women are attacking John McCain's choice of Gov. Sarah Palin. Their criticisms boil down to three tangential categories
1. Criticizing her choice to have a down syndrome baby 2. Casting dispersions on her because her 17-year old daughter is pregnant and will keep the baby and marry the father 3. Objecting to her being a mother and Governor or VP
What happened to women's liberation? What happened to choice (that usually means A or B, not just A)? What happened to equality?
It seems that the Republican Party is more accepting of mothers who work and of not-so-perfect family situations. The Democrats seem to be stuck in a 1950's time-warp where mothers must necessarily stay home (perhaps to live off welfare checks?), all children must be perfect (or hidden from society), and unplanned pregnancies must be quickly and quietly terminated.
Women across America should be applauding John McCain's choice of Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, not trying to destroy her by holding her up to an impossible standard. Indeed, Gov. Palin is a wonderful example to our children that life isn't perfect, but you do the best that you can with the cards you're dealt.
Character is what you do with those cards, not avoiding them or throwing them away. Gov. Palin certainly has the character to face tough decisions head-on, and not avoid them or pass them off to a higher pay grade.
The real reason that women of the left and their media pals are attacking Gov. Palin is that they feel threatened in their own decisions. Her daughter's choice to keep an unplanned preganancy as well as her choice to birth a Down syndrome child are viewed as an implicit attack on abortion-on-demand. It erodes their pro-abortion mantra.
Moreover, it is Gov. Palin's strength of character and ability to work and raise her children that are the real threats. This line of attack reveals the deep, dark secret of liberal women -- that they prefer dependence on men to making it in the workplace, and they cling to outdated gender roles in the comfort of their suburban lifestyles. No wonder Gov. Sarah Palin is so threatening to them -- she exemplifies everything that they are not.
Democrats will work hard to spin a web of fear in order to keep the support of women for their party, obscuring the fact that a Democrat-controlled Senate will determine the next Supreme Court justices, not a Vice President, to whom the Constitution give no powers of appointment, cabinet or policy formation. In creating the veil of fear around the Supreme Court, Democrats demonstrate their contempt for a woman's ability to discern fact from fiction -- just as they demonstrate contempt for Gov. Sarah Palin's service to our country while being a mother.
The irony is that in places like New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida and Ohio (where I've traveled lately), the choice of Gov. Palin as John McCain's running mate has energized a group of inconsistent voters -- women whose husbands are politically active but who claim to not pay attention to politics. One woman told me that she was so excited by the pick that she called her husband, who was shocked that she had even paid attention.
However, the real impact of Gov. Palin's candidacy was best summed up by my five-year-old daughter, who turned to me upon hearing of the pick, and said "Wow, Mommy, this means that you could be President, and so can I."
Great job, John McCain and Sarah Palin, in inspiring our next generation of women and allowing them limitless dreams.
Usually listen via WJR in Detriot but they’re covering the Kwame hearing... so I’ve tuned in to KMAJ...thanks Topeka.
