When the “American” “Progressive Left” had to make a choice between Stalin and Hitler,

they threw in their lot with Stalin and from then on branded the Nazis as “rightwing” and “conservative”.

Communism and Fascism are at their heart the same thing (collectivist); they were just competing for the same ideological mindset and had to demonize the other.

You make a good point. All political viewpoints are relative depending on where you are in the spectrum, so if the Democrats view Nazi's as being to their right, then they have to be further to left than the Nazi's.

So since the Nazi's were socialists, and the Dems are further left than that, doesn't that imply they are Marxist or Communist?
