Iowa man accused of offering bribe with sandwich

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa City police said a man who was driving drunk tried to bribe a police officer — with a sandwich. Police said a 25-year-old man was charged with drunken driving early Sunday morning after an officer saw him driving with his headlights off and pulled him over.

Police said the man was riding with a police officer in a squad car when he offered the officer free sub sandwiches if he could go home...

That cop was desperate for more points/whatever.

Had I been the Cop, I think I would have just ignored the drunk and his sandwiches, he was in enough trouble as it was.

Man, if this guy must have been ready to pass out. It would be funny if he did and woke up in Jail wondering why he was there.. hear the story and just laugh. This reminds me of a Johnny Cash song “The Chattanooga City Limit Sign”
