Rick Klein, from ABCs The Note, reports: Lets say you dont read The New York Times or The Washington Post (or The Note, for that matter). Lets say you dont follow the big political blogs and youre not obsessed with every turn of the screw of this fascinating presidential race.
Lets say, instead, like millions ofworking-class Americans, you get your news on the political race from the supermarket aisle. Lets say youre -- I dont know, a hockey mom -- and youre intrigued by this Sarah Palin person youve been hearing so much about since Friday.
So youre shopping this week -- and what do you see on the cover of US Weekly? That esteemed journalistic institution is taking it right to John McCains running mate -- with a hard-hitting piece that details the scandal involving her daughters pregnancy.
BABIES, LIES & SCANDAL, screams the headline on the cover, with a picture of a smiling Palin holding her fifth child, 4-month-old Trig.
Inside is a collection of Palin lowlights -- from her daughters now well-known pregnancy; to Internet rumors that the governor pretended to be pregnant to cover for her daughter; to troopergate; to her onetime support for the bridge to nowhere; to a radio appearance where she giggled while shock jocks called a political rival a bitch and a cancer.
-snip-
But this, to me, is the clearest evidence yet that the McCain-Palin campaign is losing the battle over Palins image. US Weekly readers are the voters her selection was designed to attract. Theres not much to like in this early take -- and not much to indicate that the next round will be much better.

Simply wanted to ask if their rag came in a handy 4 pack roll for use in my bathroom.
You're lying. Al Gores son got busted before the last convention and not a peep was heard about it on the MSM or in US magazine.
Why don't you go to KOS where you belong?
How do you not know if Chelsea Clinton has already had an abortion or two? Democrats like the Clintons kill all their little problems before they become big problems. If Governor Palin’s ex brother-in-law would have been related to the Clintons he would probably be dead now or in a coma and any friends or associates would have come down with the Hillary disease—”I don’t recall”
Yeah, we saw the hours of coverage devoted to the sleazy lobbying done by Biden's sons and the sweetheart job given one of his sons by a company for whom Biden was carrying water. And there was an in-depth discussion of yet more family dynasty politics with one of those Biden sons being elected as AG in Delaware.
Not. Those got some coverage, but not the salacious idiocy we're seeing over Palin. And the reason is clear.
The media is covering for Biden and is hell-bent on tearing Palin down because she has energized the base. For you to believe otherwise makes me wonder just how much you have actually read in your time on FR.
Yes. I agree. My only point is the tabloids haven't found anything else related to Obama to meet the threshold for a story. Seems odd but I don't understand that business.
I’m done being nice to aholes. In a very few words I’ve had it with the MSM and anybodythat supports their sleazy advocacy.
“And many people in the MSM knew about the Bristol Palin Pregnancy and decided not to report it until AFTER the Palin Family issued a press release.”
(1) Sorry, that “news” was not very commonly know in media circles outside of Alaska, and even then it is pretty recent “news”; and (2) until she became a “national figure” it was no widely considered a “national” story. Whereas, the Edwards affair was known in Washington D.C. media-social circles for months; including during most of his Presidential primary campaign - and they all said nothing, by choice. (3) There is a big difference in how “the media” has treated the two stories as well as a difference IN the two stories - one concerns the judgement of the candidate directly (Edwards) and one concerns a member of the candidate’s family, not the candidate (Palin).

Post/line of the day!
Your wasting your time. I think “we” are a bit epistemologically challenged.

Let her know we will start contacting her advertisers and Walmart tomorrow...
And there is more in store for tomorrow: Sarah’s affair that threatened to end her marriage. Yep, folks, get ready for the “affair” to hit on Wednesday.
"I don't care what they say about me as long as they spell my name right." PT Barnum.
I think some of them have figured this out through polling, and they’re now trying to shift to “it's not about Sarah Palin, it's about McCain's impulsiveness and/or control by offstage right-wing boogey-men.”
Jann Wenner, the homosexual owner of US magazine and Rolling Stone and the orchestrator of this smear:
Not surprising this type of trash would come from someone who supports these folks:
Contact Wal-Mart and tell them to pull US magazine from their stores:

Good Lord they should be embarrassed for being so vicious.
PBS recapping McGovern-Eagleton, speculating “what if John McCain were to change his mind”. Like it or not, they smell blood. We need to pray hard.
