They perceive that any deviation from the “perfect family” are “their” values and when it happens to those on the right it should be paraded as hypocrisy in hopes that the conservative base will be outraged.

You have it exactly right. It was depressing to me today to hear some conservative bluenoses and weak sisters wring their hands over this “problem”. It’s not a problem. We’re in a war with political gutter fighters who take no prisoners. Our side needs to dish it right back.
You are correct. The 'Left' 'hopes' and 'perceives' ... but they don't know anything about Christians or Christianity. We are all sinners, saved by Grace. We don't celebrate sin, but we all stumble at times - and we're there to help a brother or sister up. Repent and be saved...
