Kay Bailey Hutchinson or Joe Lieberman would make the ticket the AARP ticket.

McCain wasn’t causing high levels of interest or enthusiasm before the Palin selection. Hutchinson or Lieberman sure won’t bring in throngs of excitement.

[I heard one report over the weekend that Team McCain was having trouble getting people to come to some gathering for McCain. They couldn’t get enough takers, and had allot of left-over free tickets.]

I agree with that caller that said today he doesn’t feel like a member of the Savage Nation. I think Savage is reading the whole thing bass-ackwards. She’s perfect. Young, vibrant, a strong conservative track record, an able administrator, and best of all... unstained by decades of prostituting on Capitol Hill in DC.

Savage is just wrong on this one.

I heard Lou Dobbs discussing (or he might have been quoting another person) suggesting that Olympia Snowe would have been a good VP choice. HUH?! In what parallel universe. She’s even more of a RINO than McCain is!
